THE SPACE
The 4-Person Tent is the largest accommodation at Golden
Camp and the most suitable for families and small groups. It
sleeps four in a spacious bell tent: one double bed and two
single beds, arranged around a central space featuring a vintage
kilim rug, warm artisan lamps, a decorative white stag
figure, and handcrafted objects throughout. It feels
genuinely designed—not just furnished.

A round decorative mirror at the apex of the tent catches
the light differently at every hour of the day. The canvas
walls cast the shadows of the olive trees in the morning
and reflect the lamplight like gold in the evening.

THE BATHROOM
The bathroom is shared with the other tent, a short walk
from the accommodation. Clean, well-maintained, and communal—
s worth knowing before you book, and easy to appreciate
once you see everything else.

WHAT’S INCLUDED
Breakfast is prepared and served every morning for all
guests. All shared spaces are open to everyone: the
outdoor wood-fired kitchen, the seasonal summer pool, the
bonfire pit, the BBQ area, and all garden and relaxation
areas across the property. Free on-site parking.

Evening tastings of local produce can be arranged upon request
for guests staying at the property—contact the property directly for
availability and details.

Firewood for the bonfire and BBQ is available for an additional fee
(€5 per basket).

EVENINGS AT GOLDEN CAMP
The bonfire pit is where the property comes together after
dark. Families who arrive as strangers tend to leave having
shared a fire, some Calabrian wine, and a conversation they
didn’t expect. It happens often enough that it’
’s worth mentioning.

THE AREA — FALERNA & SURROUNDINGS

Golden Camp sits on the Riviera dei Tramonti—named after
its sunsets, which face the Aeolian Islands and, on clear
evenings, reveal the silhouette of Stromboli. This stretch
of the Tyrrhenian coast is one of the least-known and most
rewarding parts of southern Italy.

BEACH & COAST (15 min)
The beaches of Falerna and Gizzeria run along a wide, clean
shoreline with clear water. Gizzeria is particularly known
as one of Italy’s best kitesurfing spots, with consistent
winds and a lively beach scene. Torre Lupo—a medieval
coastal watchtower—stands at the edge of one of the most
scenic stretches of coastline in the area and is worth a
short walk.

MOUNTAINS & NATURE (10 min)
Monte Mancuso and the Fiume Griffo valley offer easy hiking
through chestnut and oak forests, river walks, and picnic
spots at higher elevations. The air is noticeably cooler than on the
coast—a welcome contrast after a morning at the beach.

THERMAL BATHS (20 min)
The Terme di Caronte in Lamezia Terme are natural sulfur-
thermal springs known since ancient Roman times. An easy-
-half-day trip, especially during the off-season.

PIZZO CALABRO (30 min)
A hilltop fishing town with an extraordinary Norman castle
overlooking the sea, a historic center worth exploring at a leisurely pace,
and—most importantly—the home of tartufo di Pizzo, one
of the most famous ice cream desserts in southern Italy.
Worth visiting just for the gelato alone.

TROPEA (50 min)
The most photographed town in Calabria: red onions, sea
capers, a clifftop cathedral, and a beach considered among
the best in Italy. Busy during peak season but a must-see.
