Family Reunion
This was a good spot for a small family reunion. Lots of flexible sleeping spaces for all ages. The downstairs bathroom is very small, which made it challenging for some to use, but overall everything worked well.

Beautiful lakefront property!
We stayed in mid October and had a wonderful time. Perfect for families with children. The kitchen is well appointed and the large park next door was so fun for the kids.

Amazing property!
We stayed here for a girls weekend and the location was perfect! Walking distance to some restaurants and close to downtown and grocery stores. House was clean and well kept, beds were comfortable, linens provided were good quality. Kitchen had essentials for cooking. Overall, a wonderful stay and would book again!

Great for Extended Family
Our second year here and once again we had a wonderful time. Our family included two children under three and there was lots to do - sand toys, three kayaks, a lily pad to play on, a safe sandy beach and other places already mentioned in other reviews. There is an excellent disc golf course that my son enjoyed. The kitchen is well equipped with some basic spices. The owners are outstanding and unobtrusively checked in to see how we were doing. I left some items there and they went beyond "the call of duty" to make sure I got them back.

Weekend getaway
We had a wonderful weekend getaway in Fairmont! The house was great - both spacious and clean! Wonderful beach out the back door with 3 kayaks available for us to use. It was great to be so close to the public beach, 2 parks, the aquatic park and an ice cream shop. We all had a great time! Having such a nice place to stay really made our weekend special. Thank you!

Second stay for us and it was a pleasure as always. Very clean upon checkin, perfect location with playground, Dairy Freeze, pool, and pontoons, and only wish we would have stayed longer! Next time we will!

Great Location!
This spot right on the beach is a perfect family getaway. The beach at the property is so close to being level with the yard so there’s no stairs down the bank. Really nice place that has a nice layout for families. This location is within walking distance of the public beach, kayak rentals, restaurants,etc. We had a great time.

Great Place!
The home was very clean with ample space, well stocked and beautiful views of the lake. We enjoyed the beach in front of the house and the kids also liked the park and playground on the south side of the lake home. The owners were at the property right next door for most of the weekend and doublechecked with us a couple of times to make sure we were having a good time which was very nice of them. The chain of lakes that the rental unit is on is really fun and we even had a pontoon delivered and picked up by Hall Lake Cabins and Boat Rentals. It was a really fun weekend for us, our adult kids and our grandkids!

Just what we were looking for
Clean, updated and roomy. This place was very well stocked. Loved the shaded trees and the sandy beach. The park adjacent to the property was a hit with kids aged 2-8. This property does not have the Up North feel but we knew that going in. We traded that for everything else and it delivered. Wonderful sand toys and kayaks available to use. We loved it!!! We may be back. 😋

Family Getaway
Great location! Loved the park that is right next to us along with the public beach and boat landing. Right across from the park is a nice bar with a patio overlooking the lake and less than a block away is a Dairy Freeze. Owner was very receptive to questions.

Great memories and time away
The cabin is cozy and comfortable for all of us. This property is perfect for our annual winter retreat. The cabin is spacious; kitchen and living room is great. We love coming here in January for the weekend to get away for some ice fishing and fun! The property doesn't disappoint! We'll be back next season. Thank you!

Great for families
We had a fabulous stay here with my extended family (three couples and two children under 2). The rooms are all bigger than they look so we had no problems with space. The kitchen is huge and had lots of space for prepping food. Also the pictures do not do justice to the new ly furnished lower level which has a new large dark grey sectional couch and matching recliner all decorated very nicely with nautical accessories. The yard is small but big enough with a sandy beach my 20 month old granddaughter enjoyed digging in.. This is not a private, north woods feel kind of place but more amenable to active families with lots to do in the area. The only negatives: The kitchen could be better furnished with medium sized serving bowls - all we found were small or gigantic plastic ones. There was only 6 sets of silverware. The dining area only had five chairs so we ended using a lawn chair for the 6th adult. A few extra folding chairs kept in the closet or garage would be all that is needed. We also wished we had access to an affordable pontoon or boat. There are rental places on the lake but they were very expensive. However, I realize that boats are not normally provided with private rental cabin. The gentleman who lives next door is related to the owner and was very helpful. We enjoyed the place so much that we are thinking of renting it for a week next summer.

Perfect place for summer family getaway!
This is the most perfect place for a summer getaway with family, especially if you have younger children. The location couldn’t be any better, with the best playground in Fairmont literally next door and the swimming pool within walking distance. The house is set up very well with tons of space for kids to play with their toys and still allowing a bit of separation for the adults. Bedrooms are a nice size and there would be room for a full blowup mattress if needed. You can swim right off the beach on the property or walk a short distance to a swimming area next to the park. Our family especially enjoyed the kayaks available and also rented a double one right next door so all four of us could go out on the lake together. Additionally we rented a pontoon from Hall Lake Cabin Pontoon Rentals and they dropped it off at the dock next to the park, which was super convenient for when we forgot a few things for the boat and could just walk back to the house to get them. Highly recommend this place and we’re already planning our trip for next summer to stay here!

Fantastic Lake Spot
This great property is at the perfect location in Fairmont. It's a great lake get away while still being with walking distance to many things for you and the family! It has a wonderful sandy beach and the house itself has whatever you may need to keep the family entertained. It sits adjacent to a great park and is a very short walk to the Dairy Freeze (ice cream) Grafitti (coffee/breakfast/lunch spot) and the Fairmont Water Park. The owner was a great communicator and any messages/requests we had were returned promptly. We will be back!

Wonderful Family Time at the Lake
I had a wonderful, relaxing week at the lake house in Fairmont. We made use of the beach, lake, and bike paths that go around the lakes. The house is comfortable and clean. The renovations are very nice , but having a renovated second bathroom will be great! The listing on Vrbo was a bit deceiving since the host fee was actually more than the nightly rate. (Just up the nightly rate, it makes more sense to buyers.) Thank you for sharing your home with us, we would defiantly come back!

Great Place!
My husband and I had a great weekend with our 20+ year old kids. It is very clean and updated and located in a very convenient place on the lake - walking distance to everything. We rented a pontoon for our stay, and it was delivered and picked up right to their dock. Fairmont is a darling town with very friendly people. A great lake experience without the crowd of other MN lakes.

Awesome stay!
Our family had an amazing stay here. The weather was very hot but the house stayed cool and there was plenty of room for all 8 of us (4 adults and 4 kids). We used the adult and child sized kayaks daily and my son LOVED the lily pad. Quite a few fish were caught off the dock along with some swimming (it was a little weedy). The location was perfect for our family as we walked to the ice cream shop (cash only BTW) as well as the park. The neighbor Mike was super friendly and helpful as well. We plan on coming back!

Budd Lake home
The house is really great, not fancy, and super comfy. We were 9 people and we all had space. The only downside is the lake is very weedy! The cleared swimming space was only about 6 feet wide. The hosts mom and dad live next door and were super friendly and helpful.

Perfect escape!
Wondeful getaway cabin! The cabin was very spacious and clean. It had everything we needed to make some home cooked meals. The fishing was excellent, the kids had a lot of fun! The beds and couch were very comfortable. Access to the lake was such a convenience. Would love to come back during the spring/summer. Thanks to Katie and Marc for making our stay very enjoyable!

Beautiful Home, Awesome Location
We came to town for a family event and really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lakefront home. It is very clean and has been updated throughout. Between the child-friendly features at the home (high chair, pack-n-play, stepping stool in bathroom, etc.), the incredible park next door and the amazing, sandy beach, our young children (2, 4) were in heaven and wanted to stay longer. It is also a super short walk to great food, once we parked we really didn't have to leave for anything! It was great being so close to so much, our only regret is that we didn't book a longer stay and enjoy the property longer.

Girlfriend gathering
This home and the city of Fairmont were the perfect place for us to meet. Our group consisted of 4 65 year old women that have been friends since grade school. We especially enjoyed the deck and the view of the lake. Fairmont had a nice grocery store, churches, restaurants, walking path, and more. Katie was very prompt in answering our questions. We would highly recommend this property.

Perfect Getaway
This was the perfect place for our family of 7! Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed it as much as the three young kids! It was great to drink coffee on the deck in the morning while the kids played on the beach just a few yards away. The park nearby was a hit with our kids and so easy to get to! We had a wonderful time in Fairmont enjoying the fishing and supporting the local business!
This was a great place to stay with pretty much everything you need within walking distance. The fishing was great! Although the water was quite green this year, we still were able to enjoy some water activities. This is a great location if your are wanting an activity filled vacation. We were looking for a little more quiet relaxation, so the park next door was not as appealing to us. It was quite noisy at night, which we didn't realize would be the case. The property was excellent, very clean, had everything we needed and the owners were very accessible for any questions. We would highly recommend the property if you are looking for lots of activity and convenience!

This is a wonderful place to stay. My husband sat for hours watching the really nice view of the lake. The flowers and birds, especially the cardinals, were just incredible. The owner tracked us down because we left something behind. Very kind. Hope to be back again one day...
