«Black Bear Lodge is a very no-frills, rustic motel, with the room doors opening to the outside on a walkway or balconey. The bed was Very comfortable and the shower was great. That was my primary need, so i was pleased. The check in is down the road at a coffee shop and they have limited check in hours, or you have to make special arrangements. «Came for a wedding and loved the location. The kids especially enjoyed the hammock and now I have to buy one so they’ll stop asking me to go back! The walls are quite thin but we made jokes about it and communicated to each other through the floor/ceiling. Beware if you have multiple couples but it didn’t bother us. Absolutely loved the fact that trash is so far from the house - the kids were afraid of bears and this helped explain to that they’d be fine. Cute walking trail too!»

«We stayed in the cabin for two nights while we visited the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge state park.
