Inside the Barn
You’ll step into a cozy space with everything you need, without the fuss. A queen bed sits tucked under warm lighting with a wall heater for those cooler nights. You’ll have a small fridge, a bar counter with stools, and a tote with clean bedding; use ours or bring your own. Fresh drinking water and a kettle are provided so you can start the day with something warm.
Relax Outside
Start your morning at the picnic table, end your evening by the fire. The barn is just steps from a clean portable toilet, sink, and a private outdoor shower with hot water. Parking is right next to your door. You’re welcome to explore the farm on foot or by bike and take in the views of open pasture and mountain skies.
Private Hot Tub
After a peaceful day on the farm, or a little exploring in Lynden or Bellingham, treat yourself to a soak in our guest-only hot tub. Open 8 am to 9 pm daily. You’ll receive a link after booking to reserve your personal time slot. This keeps your soak private, and it also helps us manage safety and liability because we need to know exactly who’s using it and when. It’s also not a commercial hot tub, so the schedule gives it time to re-heat, filter, and stay properly balanced between sessions.
The Farmstead Experience
This is a real working farm. You may see our Wagyu cattle, and we do host other guests on the property in our other accommodations, but your corner is quiet and private. We live on-site and are just a message away if you need anything.
During your stay, be sure to visit our little farm store; guests love taking home a few extras from the land they stayed on. You’ll find Oostema Wagyu beef, farm-fresh eggs, and breakfast sausage. (Plus more local favorites) It’s all raised right here.
What to Bring
We suggest bringing simple cooking supplies like a small pan, camp stove, or cooler. Forgot something? Just ask, we usually have extras to share.
Bedding: We’ve placed clean bedding in a tote under the bed to keep it stored nicely. You’re welcome to use ours or bring your own, whatever makes you feel most comfortable.
Seasonal Tip: It’s cozy season on the farm. Pack warm clothes, your favorite slippers, and if rain’s in the forecast, bring along boots and a rain jacket so you can still enjoy exploring the property.
Pet-Friendly with a Few Guidelines
One well-behaved dog (under 50 lbs) is welcome with a pet fee. Add your pet to your reservation to see the fee and confirm approval.
Please bring a blanket or bed for your pup, and keep them off the furniture. Pets must be quiet, on leash at all times, never left alone, and kept away from livestock at all times.
