«Wow, what a gem of a place in the Basque mountains! We expected this place to be good based on ratings and reviews, but it far exceeded our expectations. Food, wine, service, views and general accomodation — this was all amazing. Highly recommended! »

«This hotel is genuinely quite exquisite. One of the most beautiful I have visited in over thirty years of world travel. The actual setting, experienced amidst the Autumn hues, is genuinely stunning. The walk around the lake was a moment of peaceful heaven each morning and evening, the grounds are immaculate, and there are incredible views from all areas of the restaurant and bar, and the rooms are very pretty, with spacious bathrooms, some with small gardens and others even floating out in the ...

«Helt greit opphold, dårlig frokost. »

«Lovely place, one really feels like you're alone in the countryside. We stayed only one night on a stop in between places. It's decorated very nice and is very clean, although not a lot of amenities; what I hadn't expected is that there's no staff there in the evening or overnight and it seemed we were the only ones staying on the premises; we were a bit concerned that if anything happened, we were abandoned, with no instructions who to contact if something was needed. It's probable a lovely ...

«The room was very clean & bright. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The hotel was in the centre of this lovely town (Espelette) & next to the shops. I understand the breakfasts are well liked but I didn’t eat breakfast there. The was a helpful book re trails including the one to the top of the hill right opposite my bedroom window. I enjoyed the 11+ miles & 3 hills hike. The All Trails App nicely led the way. On the morning I left (early)!to hike up La Rhune (the highest hill in the ...
