We checked into Bristlecone early in week after long travel day. We got to our room & saw crumbs on a chair, dirt & dust on tables, grease spots in microwave, a shower curtain that was a half foot too long for the shower. Returned to front office where a young lady apologized & offered a suite. We went to the suite, looked around, noted dusty surfaces, tried the A/C, it didn’t work & was protruding from the wall, and no microwave. We returned to front desk…asked for the room we had stayed in last fall (it had LVP flooring & was nice), but she said it wasn’t available bc of a water leak! So we went back to the original room bc it was getting late & we were tired. Wiped dust off the tables, didn’t use microwave, also noticed crumbs on carpet…clearly it wasn’t vacuumed or cleaned very well. The A/C fan worked, but it did not cool! Finally, the remote controls for the TV did not work.
Next morning at 7:00 went to office to check out & for coffee, but it was dark inside! A sign posted on office door said opens at 7:00, rang doorbell, a front desk lady opened the door. We informed her of the room situation & requested to talk w the owner-Vasu Jolly, who was unavailable, but no email address or phone was given! She explained she was the only one cleaning all thirty two rooms!! We asked why NEON motel sign indicated ‘NO VACANCY’when there were only two cars in parking lot! She said bc the other thirty rooms weren't cleaned yet! Motel is being NEGLECTED, and we were charged $102!!
