A charming townhome next to park and trails, close to downtown

Just a 2-3 minute drive to historic downtown Ellensburg or a 10 minute walk with a variety of local restaurants, a growing number of locally owned shops, art galleries and grocery stores, this modern and private detached guesthouse by the park, the "Gorgeous George," is a tribute to the late George Rominger, a prominent trucker in the area who was the original owner of the property this house was built on.

This thoughtfully designed 1 bedroom/1 bath guesthouse above a detached garage is within walking distance to several parks, including West Ellensburg park with pickle ball courts and Rotary Park, which features baseball fields, soccer fields, walking routes, a bike park, basketball court and an off-leash dog park. In the winter the soccer fields are groomed for cross country skiing which extends to the walking trails adjacent to Rotary Park. A lake "People's Pond/Irene Reinhardt" with swimming and more trails is adjacent to the park. It's a 10-15 minute walk or few minutes drive.

Enjoy a full kitchen, wifi, smart TV and your own washer/dryer, and full bath with shower to make your stay as comfy as possible. Mini-split air conditioner/heating.

This unit is for one or two guests. Guests beyond 2 (i.e. 3 or 4 guests max) have an extra charge of $20 each for the 3rd and 4th guest. The bedroom has a queen bed and the living room sofa folds out to a futon style into a double bed that could sleep one adult or two (snugly). There is also an electric auto inflatable queen air mattress with firmness adjustment stored in the bedroom closet. Though technically The Gorgeous George can sleep 4, it is better suited for 1-2 adults.

Great mid term rental for traveling nurses and other medical personnel, professors, and other professionals looking for a private, modern, fully furnished, comfortable and convenient place for stays of a couple of weeks to 6 months. There are discounts for stays of 1 week, 2 weeks and 1 month or more. Please inquire about these rates. For stays of a month or more you'll have a starter set of paper products, bath products, coffee, tea, cleaning products and trash bags.

Dogs under 40 lbs are welcome, some breeds not allowed (no pitbulls, German Shepard, Rottweilers, Akitas and some others). There is no cleaning fee. Guests are expected to leave The Gorgeous George tidy upon departure and free of pet hair and damage. Pet hair and damage will incur an extra fee.

The Main house is adjacent and a private residence, your privacy will be respected. There is room for one vehicle to park off-street. If you need to bring a second vehicle please contact me.
