I went back to the Jaz Lamaya having been 4 times before the covid outbreak, and was pleasantly surprised to see the standards of service and quality of the properties & ameneties were still of a high standard and all the staff very friendly. They also catered for my Gluten Free requirements.

Leider sehr voll in diesem Jahr, Restaurant im Lamaya war geschlossen. In der ersten Woche war es schwierig einen Platz zu bekommen. Insgesamt hat es uns zum ersten Mal nicht so gut gefallen wie sonst.

Ich war 8 Nächte im Hotel. Innerhalb dieser Zeit wurde der Pool 2x tagsüber für Reinigungsarbeiten gesperrt. Bereits am 2 Abend hatte ich dann eine heftige Magen- und Darmverstimmung. Gut dass ein Arzt im Hotel ansässig ist - dachte ich ... Nach 2 Infusionen und einer Blutabnahme kam dann die böse Überraschung. 1750 Euro sollte ich per Überweisung auf ein belgische Konto zahlen. Die Rechnung sollte ich dann nach einer bestätigten Zahlung ( Screenshot ) erhalten. Völlige Abzocke. Auch eine Rüchsprache mit dem Hotelmanagement, die das ganze dulden, blieb ohne Erfolg. Mehrfache Mails mit Terminvorgaben des Artztes und schriftliche Informationen der Rezeption auf meinem Zimmer verliehen Nachdruck zur Zahlung. Der reinste Phsychterror. Die Patienten standen morgens dort Schlange. Eine " gute" Gelddruckmaschine. Das essen entsprach meiner Meinung nach nicht den angegeben Sternen. Viele undefinierbare Gerichte. Und die angesagte Schonkost kaum zu realisieren. Die Bedienungen waren freundlich, wenn entsprechendes Trinkgeld floss. Für all Inklusive lief die Versorgung jedoch schleppend. Eigentlich ein schönes Hotel mit grossem Pool, den ich dann aber nicht mehr nutzte. Das ständige Animationsprogramm und die Aufforderung dazu war mir zu viel und vor allem zu laut Die Aussenbar ist bei Vollbelegung viel zu klein und die Tische waren schnell belegt.Der "Speisekathedrale" war entsprechend laut. Da das Hotel die Artzabzocke billigt gibt es von mir nur einen Stern ... eigentlich Null

Jaz Lamya is a very nice hotel. The family room with a separate kids room was amazing, traveling with a two year old baby. Staff were beyond excellent and super friendly. Food was also so yummy especially the grill. Corals are beautiful and you can view them from the pier or you can snorkel close to the shore and see the beautiful corals and fish. On the downside, Lamaya is not that near to the sand beach. It’s a 10 min walk. Children are not allowed on the larger Coraya city sand beach so we were stuck in a small area of the beach. We had to walk back to Lamaya every time we needed to use the toilets or get some food or drinks because we were not allowed to use the closer facilities belonging to the other resorts. The Jaz Samaya pool was nice but unusable when there is strong wind as it gets very cold. Jaz Lamaya pool is not well heated and swimming there was not enjoyable. The Jaz kids club was nice, they cook and have nice activities every day but the staff there doesn’t speak Arabic and only very broken English (their Dutch is fine). We stayed 12 days and we were rudely told that we are not welcomed in the aqua park the second time we went there even though we were never told that we are only allowed to go there once in our stay. Which doesn’t make much sense for people staying for longer durations. Overall, I can’t recommend jaz Lamaya. The food was great, the corals and fish were astonishing but the overall experience wasn’t the best.

Nice hotel for the price
Lovely hotel. Great that it has its own dock. Very important as the coral reaches the beach. No beach entry, you must enter the water from a dock. Attendants were efficient. Entertainment was amusing. The hotel room had a nice view of the beach. I would stay here again.

Nous avons aimé le cadre de l'hôtel et sa propreté. Nous avons aussi aimé le professionnal du club de plongée. A propos du service et du personnel, il y a de grande disparité au niveau du contact. Nous avons eu peu de personne agréable et souriant. A la réception et en général dans l'établissement, nous avons eu des difficultés à nous exprimer. Bien sûr l'allemand et l'anglais est prédominant mais l'italien, français, espagnol quoi si inexistant.

Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt und sehr schön gelegen. Das Essen ist vatiantenreich und man findet immer etwas gutes. Alle Angestellte sind sehr freundlich und sehr engagiert.

Hotel is sehr schön gelegen in einer eigenen Bcht mit tollen Hausriff zum Tauchen und Schnochreln. Flughafen nur 10 Minuten entfernt aber keine Belästigung. Die Fernstrasse für ein Teil der Anlage dann schon eher mal ….je nachdem wie der Wind steht. Aber nichts was einen von einer Buchung abhlten sollte. Das Hotel ist schon in die Jahre gekommen deshalb ist alles nicht mehr so top in Schuss… Möbel hier und da abgestoßen, Klositz auch schon mal etwas gelb, Duscharmatur verkalkt, Handtücher fleckig,...usw. TV ist nix. Nur 3 Sender und die mit permanenter Unterbrechung. Aber braucht man im Urlaub ja eigentlich auch nicht.... Kellner Personal ist meistens sehr bemüht und wenn meine 'seine' Kellner gefunden hat klappt das auch. Gibt aber leider auch eine Menge völlig ungeschulte, lahme und unfreundliche dabei. Essen ist gut, Auswahl auch, ist für jeden etwas zu finden. Animationsteam komplett neu - die waren zu jung und unerfahren. War die letzten Jahre besser. Hotel war ausgebucht - das hat man überall gemerkt. Stoßen dann schon an ihre Grenzen was Sitzplatz und Personalkapazität in den Restaurants und Bars angeht. Oft kein Platz zu kriegen im Außenbereich oder sehr langsamer Service.
