«I honestly wish we could have stayed here longer! From the outside, this place is very unassuming. The area around it has mostly older buildings. But once you pull into the gates, it's clear why this is a highly rated hotel. Complete with welcome drinks, a luxurious pool, and a very attentive staff, this hotel was the perfect oasis before a rugged stay in the Amazon. Our family of four arrived at the same time as a group and we were offered the options to joint their tours on an expedited schedule (four days of activities in two days). We joined them for the full day Napo tour and really enjoyed the day but we were very rushed and had no idea what activity was next. «Selina was a great place to stay, as within 15 minutes driving (or less) from the property you can access amazing places to swim, eat tasty and affordable lunches and see monkeys. You can also easily hike to waterfalls. The pool at Selina is really nice. We were a bit worried when we arrived that it would be too loud/a lot of partying but they have a strict quiet policy at 11pm and our room (the family room) was very spacious and quiet. «We loved it here. Such an amazing place. It’s remote, but the signage was good and our driver found it. Probably best to get there during the day. We took a chocolate making class and went on the night walk in the jungle. It is an eco resort, so don’t expect hot showers, which is usually a deal breaker for me. But the place was so nice we were very happy we stayed here. »
