The Sanders' home was exactly as advertised. We had a wonderful week there. The kitchen has everything one could need, the beds comfy, the screened in deck on the beach serene. We've been to Edisto Beach several times, but this is the first time we've stayed at this property. We would definitely stay here again and I recommend it to anyone looking to vacation on Edisto Beach.

Truly enjoyed our time here. My elderly parents spent a lot of time on the screened in porch and were able to go to the beach because it was such a short walk. We brought our dogs and they loved the beach. Bring k cups for the coffee maker and dish soap. Linens and towels provided were good quality. Mattresses are probably due for replacement. Ice maker didn’t work, but there were ice trays to fill. Excellent outdoor shower (with hot and cold water) and hose pipe for cleaning up after the beach. We loved the house. It was very cozy. Bring a radio if you need one. Roku tvs we’re very nice, equipped with YoutubeTV so we could watch our gamecocks plays.

The home was absolutely wonderful! Our family spent a week enjoying beautiful Edisto while experiencing the very best of beach front blessings. The home was inviting, comfortable and had everything we needed for our family vacation. The ocean front back porch was absolutely dreamy and perfect for melting stress gazing at the waves. Just steps away from the beach which we all loved. The hosts were so kind and provided thoughtful hospitality. We will definitely want to stay here again!

Tiny, clean cottage perfectly situated by the sea. Great views and relaxing screened porch. Kitchen well equipped; nice linens and towels provided. We enjoyed our stay!

This bungalow was very well appointed with great furnishings. I spent many hours on the screened patio watching the ocean. It was very quiet location. The hosts were very good communicators and addressed concerns quickly. Would highly recommend

Great Week

We had a lovely week staying here. The screened porch was wonderful with the rockers and cushions. We enjoyed lunch at the outdoor table on the screen porch. The beach access was perfect. The view was gorgeous.

Perfection

I don't want to praise this place too much, because it's already so popular, but it was perfect, & exactly what we were looking for! That screened in porch with the rocking chairs was a wonderful place to hang out. A few steps & you are right on the beach. You could lay in bed & see the ocean & hear the waves! Everything was as described, & it was nice to meet the owners. I hope we get to go back someday.

Great beach vacation!

We had a fantastic time, couldn’t have picked a better location on Edisto island. The cottage was clean, cozy and outfitted with linens. Edisto island is a simple beach town where you can bike to everything. It’s near perfection for a relaxed beach vacation. The owners were extremely responsive and easy to work with… we will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay here... The house is cute and although others labeled it "dated", I think of it as more "nostalgic"... It had everything we needed and sitting on the screened in porch looking at the ocean was my favorite part!

Anniversary trip

We love this cottage - the porch is the place to be! Stayed here many years back but group got too big. Came back for 40th anniversary and had a wonderful March week. Owners we’re very responsive and thoughtful. Totally recommend!

Quiet oceans sounds for soothing

Life, in general, has been a bit on the nerve wracking level for past three years .....my precious husband and i just needed to get away for a stressfree escape.....this was it...he walked and collected shells.I sat on oceant front screened in deck reading and writing...God blessed us with His beautiful sunrises and moon rises...

Great shower, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen utensils, beautiful views of ocean, sunrises & sunsets. Great beach access. Bathroom could use a new sink & mirror, but overall we LOVED it! Hope to be back soon!

Idyllic Seaside Stay

Our stay at the Sanders’ cottage was probably the most enjoyable, peaceful two weeks we’ve ever had. The cottage was comfortable and clean, the location perfect (30 steps away from the ocean), and the pace slow. The people of Edisto are wonderful, including the hosts Steve and Betty Llew. If we didn’t already have plans for next winter to visit my elderly parents, we would come back next for much longer. But there’s always 2025! Thank you, Steve and Betty Llew. It was a pleasure getting to know you…

Great week at the beach!

We love Edisto and especially this perfect cottage right on the beach. Our most favorite part is the screened-in porch where we can hear the surf and watch those amazing sunrises. We have been coming here for years and will continue.

Great trip and enjoyed being directly on the beach

We loved the screened in porch facing the ocean as well as the deck on the front on the house facing the street. The round table on the porch was used for dining outdoors. Lots of hooks on porch to hang wet beach towels and swimsuits. A plus was the outdoor shower by the back steps with hot and cold water. Kitchen had a good selection of pots and pans as well as baking dishes.

The only thing good about the home is the view!

My family and I just got back from staying at this property. To say the trip started off bad is an understatement. The entire island was without power for 10 hours our second afternoon and the entire night. Having a 9 month old this was really tough as you can imagine! The way I am I’m not going to complain and bother the owners about something out of their control. I will say something though about issues that are controllable..such as the house is super dated from all the appliances barely working to a fridge that’s in need of some maintenance and a deep clean. I could smell a nasty undertone all week from the fridge and everything we put in it smelled and tasted gross. The pre-cleaning was below sub par. The house felt dirty and the countertops had to be wiped down just to put our stuff on them initially walking in the home..same throughout the house in all the other rooms. The main bathroom has a big crack in the base the part you stand on..which actually gives when you take a shower so you feel like your going to fall through the home while trying to bathe..The owners tried to blame us for cracking the spigot where the water comes out and sending us a picture like we did it. The shower is a hot mess and was upon arrival! Upon leaving we stripped our beds and I removed the mattress pad on my bed to notice a big stain. I double checked the mattress cover just to make sure by chance nothing spilled by accident and the mattress pad was stain free. Apparently whoever cleans the home never washes the mattress pad bc we are being blamed for the “stain” as well. This home is just not worth the value it’s being rented for unless they are prepared to make some serious updates. The living room furniture is all outdoor furniture which was super uncomfortable. I was told there was 3 tvs bc I asked since I have kids. We ended up bringing one from our house as well to be on the safe side…well there was only 2 tvs (living room and one tiny/terrible one in a bedroom) thank goodness I brought a back up even though we accidentally left it there.. The day before our checkout I get a text from the owner telling me he was told we had more than six people and we had dogs. I was like are you serious with this!?! I had family and friends renting homes near us as well so we had people coming and going as most do on family vacations so this was a turn off and super invasive. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!!

Wonderful cottage on the beach

It is a relatively small cottage. The beds fill most of the space in the bedrooms. But it is right on the beach with a wonderful view from the porch, the weather was wonderful, and it was an easy walk (or an easier bike ride) to “downtown.” About an hour drive to Charleston. The local state park has wonderful short hikes. Several local restaurants were great (eg Flowers Seafood, Tortuga’s). We will be back!
