Fantastiskt hotell med utrolig hyggelig betjening. Midt i Edinburgh med alle severdigheter i kort gangavstand. Frokosten er helt unik, og hotellets restauranter er i en særklasse.

Vakkert historisk hotell i toppklasse
Edinburgh er en flott by og the Balmoral er et fantastisk flott hotell, med service i ypperste klasse. Svært god frokost og gode restauranter på hotellet, blant annet Nr. One, som har en stjerne i Michelin. Staff er hyggelig, imøtekommende og serviceinstilte

Staff was great. Breakfast was awesome. Occasional drunks outside. Centrally located, iconic building. Didn’t like staff knocking insistently for turn down service when I’m watching TV.

What I didn't like.. The breakfast. In the states most hotels (both cheap and expensive) include breakfast. I paid 35 lbs for a breakfast that wasn't worth $3. Cold runny scrambled eggs. Nothing on the buffet table was especially inviting. Service was nice, and table clean, etc. The following days, we went down to McDonalds and had better meal for 8 lbs. For the price that we paid, you could do better and not charge so much.

Very VERY dated bathrooms. Spa area is just like past century. Toilet would not flash. Thin walls - you can hear a whisper. Breakfast was horrible. The staff is very nice though.

TV didn’t work in the room for the first two nights. Staff initially offered to move us to a new room but then retracted the offer and instead offered a key to a room with a tv until they could fix it the next day. Not a great solution.

I booked this stay for my parents so they can go on their dream trip. They said the hotel was gorgeous, clean, and the staff was amazing, specifically Andrew who recommended places and checked in with them frequently to make sure they were enjoying their trip. The location was perfect and there was so much to do within walking distance. Highly recommend and my parents want to go back soon!

Wonderful Hotel and the Afternoon tea service was sublime. They accommodate my husband's dairy and egg allergies for our meals. The morning buffet breakfast was just right to start the day. Only note is hotel is right next to Waverly Station do it's a bit crowded in front of the hotel.

Staff were exceptional! Stayed for 2 nights and cannot fault any aspect of the hotel, the staff from the minute you greet the consierge staff to the housekeepers 10/10. Food & Drink choice is top class. We are already looking to re-book. Honestly, ask for anything and they will do their best to assist.

The Balmoral is an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Princes Street. We were wearily travellers and from having our car parked, to the concierge, reception and then excellent decor and size of our room we found our stay to be an experience we are very keen to repeat. The food for breakfast and dinner was again served with polite discretion and in a low no hurry way that let us unwind from our busy itinerary.

Epic 40th Birthday Getaway!
An amazing stay, from start to finish. Friendly, respectful staff greet you from the moment you are outside of the hotel, and this service is flawless throughout every experience inside. The food, at any time of the day, is simply exquisite. The spa was wonderfully relaxing, as was the facilities in the bedroom. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, for any occasion, it truly is one of a kind. With or without children, you will not be disappointed. It is worth every penny and more.

A fabulous stay at a wonderful establishment.
We visited Edinburgh for the first time in February. After a recommendation, we booked our stay at The Balmoral Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the most helpful staff who continued to provide a fantastic level of service until we checked out. The comfort and cleanliness of the rooms is second to none. If I return to the city, The Balmoral will be my first port of call.

My new favorite hotel!
This might be my new favorite hotel! All Rocco Forte properties are great, but I thought this one was exceptional! The proximity to the train station was super convenient, yet I never heard a single train. Service was 10/10. I can’t wait to return!

We had another amazing stay at the Balmoral. Absolute outstanding. The staff couldn't do enough for us and always make us feel so special and welcome.
