The Albany Lane Residence is a stylish 2 bedroom modern mews with the original dating 1810

Dating from 1810 when it was built as a tea merchant’s warehouse this stylish 2 bedroom modern mews house in the heart of the New Town is tucked away in a quiet side street offering a peaceful retreat from the hubbub of city life. It is a short stroll to vibrant Broughton Street, which offers a wide range of Cafes, Bars and Restaurants as well as an eclectic selection of local shops and boutiques, as well as Edinburgh’s buzzing new retail mall in the St James Quarter. The property also benefits from a small, attractive, private garden area with outdoor seating on a patio where you can sit and catch the evening sun with a glass of wine. The property is close to Picardy Place tram stop for easy access to the airport and Murrayfield Stadium.

The open plan ground floor offers a cosy sitting/dining area with sliding doors opening into the garden as well as a fully equipped kitchen area. Both the washing machine and the tumble dryer can be found in the garage. There is also a shower room with wc and wash hand basin on the ground floor.

Stairs lead to the first floor accommodating 2 bedrooms which overlook the garden area. The master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom can be arranged as twins or a superking on request and is furnished with a wardrobe, dressing table and chest of drawers. A cosy double bedroom with a double bed is provided with a large wardrobe with plenty of storage.

This property offers parking for one car less than 4.4metres in length. Guests who will be bringing cars should verify their car length at https://www.automobiledimension.com/car-comparison.php

This property operates a key safe, so you can let yourself into the property any time after 4pm. The key safe code will be issued before your arrival.

Entry to the apartment is from 16:00 onwards. If you are arriving earlier than 16:00, it is always worth contacting the property manager, who will endeavor to give you access as soon as possible.

The latest departure time is 11:00, however, a guaranteed later departure (up to 20:00) can be arranged for a fee of 50% of the daily rate for that day but please note this is subject to no existing booking arriving that day already.

A £200 refundable damage/security deposit is due 7 days before arrival, and refunded after departure.

All properties are strictly non-smoking, and do not accept hen/stag/party groups. At least one guest must be over 25 years old.

Please note Wi-Fi at this property is complimentary.

2 bedroom modern mews house with open plan ground floor offers a cosy sitting/dining area with sliding doors opening into the garden as well as a fully equipped kitchen area with a shower room with wc and wash hand basin on the ground floor. First floor accommodating 2 bedrooms.
Both the ensuite bathroom and the downstairs shower-room have underfloor heating.

Stairs lead to the first floor accommodating 2 bedrooms which overlook the garden area.

1 bedroom with double bed (sleeps 2)- A cosy double bedroom with a double bed is provided with a large wardrobe with plenty of storage.

1 bedroom with king size bed (sleep 2)- The master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom can be arranged as twins or super king.
*This will be prepared as a super king unless requested otherwise.

Fabulous flat in Edinburgh. Easy walking distance to the heart of the city but outside of the hustle, bustle and noise. Great restaurants located just around the corner and a fully equipped kitchen if you wish to cook at home. Rooms were well appointed and the beds were so comfortable. Thanks for a great place to stay in the heart of Edinburgh.

Central Edinburgh with home comforts

Visiting with friends from the USA for the festival. Excellent location - very accessible for everything, with shops and cafes close by and a lovely, well appointed property. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Quality bed linens, nice bathroom facilities and a well stocked kitchen. The tiny, but very pretty garden was lovely to sit out in the evening sun (yes we did get some). Only a couple of downsides - firstly the dining chairs - long back legs sticking out in a small space proved to be trip hazard for everyone - hopefully thta can be easily rectified. Secondly, our car (a Land Rover Discovery) was a couple of inches too long to fit in the garage, so we had to park in a multi-storey, in town - only a ten minute walk but an additional £150 cost for the week! If only the access steps up to the kitchen door had been in a slightly different position, we might have got it in. Overall, we'd highly recommend this property - but we would have to come by train next time.

Edinburgh gem

This property did not disappoint. My daughter and I took our first adult holiday together and loved it. It was clean and comfortable, well equipped and tastefully decorated. Just close enough to everything and yet a quiet and secluded place to rest at the end of the day. Restaurants, coffee shops and groceries just a short walk away. We would definitely return.

Holiday visit to Edinburgh

From reserving the property to checking out, the process was very easy. Any questions we had were answered in a timely manner. This was one of the better VRBOs we have stayed in and would highly recommend it to others. It was very comfortable and such a nice place to come back to at the end of the day.
