Quite xpencive, better options for the price
Okay hotell, but bad value considering the price. Some staff very pleasant and polite, others rude and short. The room was clean and good standard. Woken in the morning by firealarm at 9, no information outside while waiting for 20minites. No apologies at breakfast nor at check out. Did not feel very welcome or appreciated as a guest at this hotel, a pitty since it has good potential.

Lite valuta for så mye penger
Rommet var skittent, men ble bedre rengjort etter første dag. Helt til man fant spindelvev i dusjen. Bildene på hylla var så støvete at man kunne tegne figurer på glasset. Pga festival var rommet latterlig overpriset, til £1100 for 4 netter for 3 personer på dobbeltrom med sovesofa. Uten frokost. Sovesofaen var hard. Baren var ok med gode drinker og godt utvalg. Litt upersonlig service i resepsjonen.

Dårlig førsteinntrykk av personalet. Vi kom inn klare for innsjekking. To personer i resepsjonen, ingen av dem løftet hodet, ingen reaksjon overhodet. Rommene er pene og rene. Vi hadde 3 overnattinger, ingen var innom. Lobby og frokostområde var bråkete, et forheng/gardin var brukt som vegg. Lite påfyll ved frokosten, tomme syltetøyglass osv. Grei avstand til handlegate og severdigheter.

Nice standard hotel
Good location within 10 min walk to Edinburgh old town and Castle. You got everything you need nearby. The rooms are new and nicely decorated. The only drawbacks here are the Windows which really should go through a sound proofing, as there was basically no different from having them open than closed, one can hear EVERYTHING in the busy streets outside. Also having a huge Hotel with extremely many rooms on each floor will give you some walking steps and long queues for the (really slow) elevator, specially around breakfast time.

Hotellet ligger svært sentralt både i forhold til severdigheter og trikk til flyplassen. Det var store rom med mulighet for å lage en kopp kaffe. Noe trafikkstøy. God frokostbuffet. Vi bodde bare en natt, men kan godt tenke oss å bo der igjen.

Corridor to rooms needed a refurbishment. Bathroom let the room down. No Plug in sink, no hand wash next to sink. Two shampoos in shower, no body wash. Bed covers not sufficient. Too short. When you turned over the covers came off your body.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were clean and the room well maintained during our stay. So overall, the staff are excellent. The restaurant food was excellent too. The state of the hotel however was disappointing. Online, it looks like a rather new and chic hotel with an old world charm. However, the hallway carpets were dirty and stained beyond what I have ever seen at other hotels of this calibre. The bathtub and surrounding walls looked like they haven’t had a good hard scrub in a long time. While we were very happy with our stay, the hotel definitely needs some serious attention on these very visible areas.

Poor value for money, bedroom carpet was stained by what looked like bleach, bathroom smelt of mould and the water pressure in the shower was very poor.......also incredibly noisy with a building site directly across the road and very noisy bars in the vicinity very difficult to sleep a very disappointing stay

Just needs an update. For as much as it costs it could really use a renovation. Dirty hall carpets are not what you want to see when walking to your room the first time. Staff was excellent! Location is ok as long as you like to walk (we do).

Super friendly staff, convenient downtown location to sites and dining. Good breakfast. Only bad, the tub/shower had really tall sides and no safety bar to hold onto getting in and out.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr gut- man kann die Innenstadt ganz einfach zu Fuß erreichen und hat viele Essensmöglichkeiten in der Nähe und ist auch direkt beim Stop "Haymarket" von wo aus man den Bus zum Flughafen nehmen kann. Das Hotel ist in Ordnung, etwas in die Jahre gekommen und nicht allzu sauber, aber es ist okay. Das Personal ist überwiegend nett, jedoch hatten wir auch 2 etwas unangenehme Situationen. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend. Im Großen und Ganzen hat alles gepasst, die Lage ist sehr gut und für ein City Hotel hat man alles was man braucht.

Property was clean and rooms were spacious and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable although pillows were not (in my opinion, I realize this is subjective). Water pressure was good and hot in the shower but it was not easy getting in and out of the tub the way it was positioned in the room. The main negative for us was that it wasn't really in close walking distance to restaurants and entertainment. When we got back from touring each day and were too exhausted to go very far, we ended up eating 3 nights in the hotel because it was the line of least resistance. The restaurant was nice and reasonably priced, however. Overall a great find and the most reasonably priced for that immediate area.

We had to wait around 10mins for someone to come to reception to check in even although we had checked in online we still needed to collect the key. Room was lovely and clean but a bit dated. The shower only trickled. All In a lovely stay and did the job for a night. Beds were nice and comfy
