Bra kombinasjon pris og beliggenhet
Vi bodde to netter på KM Central i forbindelse med besøk på Tattoo'en. Hotellet var det vi fant som gav best kombinasjon pris/ avstand til Royal Mile / the Castle. Fortsatt dyrt til å være såpass små rom / uten heis, men prisnivået er nok generelt høyt under Festivalen. Bra og effektiv service i resepsjonen, treg og dårlig service under frokosten dag 1, men veldig bra dag 2.

Greit hotell i nærhet til gamlebyen.
Hotellet er gammelt. Resepsjon og rom ligger i forskjellige bygg. Litt vanskelig å orientere seg, men bra skilting. Hyggelig betjening, spesielt i spisesal, som for øvrig skiller seg ut på en positiv måte med variert og bra tilbud av kald og varm mat til frokost. Hotellets standard holder til to stjerner, ikke mer.

Veldig fornøyd med hotellet. Rommet hadde grei størrelse, og det var rent. God frokost, og greit utvalg for en vegetarianer. Wifi på rommet som fungerte veldig bra. Hotellet ligger i gåavstand til det meste.

Dette hotellet var akkurat det jeg trengte for 3 dagers opphold. Hadde lite støy, selv om rommet mitt var mot gaten. Frokosten var også så bra som jeg mener den bør være. Servicen var bra og jeg kommer til å bo her igjen ved en senere anledning.

Greie rom med god frokost. Frokostrommet er lite i forhold til antall gjester, så det er ventetid på å få bordplass.Hotellet har 5 etasjer , og er uten heis, det er heller ingen som hjelper å bære bagasje.

Hotell med 5 etasjer uten heis, blir litt for tungvint med bagasje. Frokosten var eit høydepunkt med veldig godt utvalg, men få bord å sitte med. hadde" venteplass" til dei som ikkje fikk bord. kjekke folk som jobbet der på dagtid, litt verre med nattevakta...

Jeg forventet ikke mye i forhold til den særdeles gunstige prisen, og rommet var langt fra pent. Men rommet var rent, sengen var god, dusjen var varm, frokosten kjempegod og beliggenheten perfekt. Så jeg var strålende fornøyd!!

Overall was very pleased with our 2 night stay. The room was a bit too warm for us even although the window was open, so maybe the addition of a fan would be a consideration. Also the very excellent shower could have benefitted from a slightly deeper shower tray. The bathroom floor was a bit flooded and it if it hadn’t been for the shower mat, the consequences could have been worse. Saying that, the room was very clean, extremely well stocked with bathroom accessories , tea/coffee etc sachets, and the added extras within the main room itself. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and one of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a while. The staff were very nice and friendly. Thank you.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Tea selection and biscuits in the room were great. Bed was comfortable. It can be a little noisy with the windows open but generally a quiet area and around the corner from many restaurants and shops.

Perhaps there are different rooms available however our room was very small which we knew but very little space for suitcase etc. Dorm room for university of Edinburgh. There was no AC had to leave window open and they provided a fan. It was not hot this week in Edinburgh; it would have be stifling in the summer. No circulation in building at all. No elevator; we had to go up three floors with luggage. Would be challenging with mobility issues. On the positive side, great location, good breakfast which was included, excellent front desk staff. I booked through Expedia so maybe we got a lower end room. Cost for two nights in May 2024 a whopping $530 CAD. Edinburgh is expensive.

Our stay was good. We had a few issues with our room but Emma the manager was fantastic! Super attentive and caring and sorted out our room issue super quickly. A bottle of Prosecco and ice bucket was left for us when we returned which was fabulous. The other staff were so friendly, I believe his name is Keith, (sorry if it’s not!!) Was so funny, informative about the local area and super helpful which was fab. My only real complaint is that the windows are super thin so the room can get quite cold at night and it’s very noisey on the front side of the building due to the local businesses, but that’s no fault of the hotel. Other than that, the location was amazing and the bed was super comfy. Thanks again Emma!

The hotel had a very studenty vibe as I believe it is run by Edinburgh university and was once student accommodation. The rooms are small but perfect for a short stay in Edinburgh. The rooms are clean and have been recently decorated. The breakfast was an absolute bargain, nothing fancy but really nice and a good quality coffee machine included. Overall the value for money was amazing and had a great stay.

Some good and not-so-good things. The best thing about the KM hotel was the invariably cheerful and helpful service desk staff. If there were two of them talking, they immediately stopped and asked how to help me. They also had a very good "Scottish breakfast," with varied foods on the buffet - and they were willing to cook eggs to order in the kitchen. From the web site, I thought I'd be paying extra for breakfast, but it turned out to be included in my total price. The location was wonderful if you're interested in seeing attractions at the heart of Edinburgh. There are a lot of things within easy walking distance. It was also a quiet neighborhood, which was good, because the windows were far from soundproof - I could easily hear normal street conversations. The room itself was a mixed bag. It was clean, well-organized, but the very very small and narrow size meant that the (comfortable!) king-size bed was only accessible from one side; the other was jammed up against the wall! Even the "accessible" side only had one foot clearance from the wall, and the location of coat hangers meant that you had to hit your head or duck even on your way to the bed. There were good wall lights for reading in bed, but they were not centered because of the window position, so the side of the bed NOT next to the wall got shortchanged. There was no door on the shower, so it was hard to avoid getting the bathroom floor wet. The sink was microscopic.
