The property was not adequately prepared between bookings. The cleaning did not deal with the overpowering smell of curry powder that lasted till we left.»

«The house was located in Askham where we were going to a wedding. It was super clean and so convenient. Near a pub where other friends were staying and just around the corner from the town store. Very private but central to everything. We would definitely stay there again. Was absolutely perfect!»

«Super space. Comfortable accommodations. Lovely back garden with a red squirrel visitor and lots of bird song. Great walks from the door with neighbouring Kirkby Stephen easily accessed by foot path or car for shopping. Ample parking space that is easy to access. Quiet. We very much enjoyed our stay»

«This immaculate, well equipped barn conversion was a pleasure to stay in. Furnished beautifully and with generous fluffy towels and good mattresses which make a big difference 😊 Milburn is quiet and peaceful with gorgeous views of the surrounding hills.»

«We loved our stay at the lodge; it is beautifully decorated and in a lovely, peaceful location. The mobile wifi was a fab addition! The check-in process was incredibly easy and the neighbours sparse. For being a lodge park, it's incredibly quiet. The lodge is set above the more tightly-spaced lodges so I believe we only saw traffic from one other lodge so if you're looking for a quiet escape, this is your place. «Free wine, flowers and chocolates - WOW ! Compact, clean, brill TV/WIFI. Back yard is well overlooked (BBQ ?). One expensive shop, NO pub. Close to Pennines, for walkers. Good central heating, never used the log burner. Disappointing area for a "cottage" ? »

«We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together»
