Eco-friendly stay
Eco-friendly! Probably the first time in my life when the cleaning staff has not changed the used towel which was hanging in the bathroom (not dropped on the floor). Bravo!!! The room itself was very dark and sad, I didn't like the design of it, made me feel depressed. No coffee machine or electric kettle in the room unfortunately - for eco reason??

Nice place with good amenities around the property. The M1 metro line drops you off at the front door. Air conditioning did not work during our 3 day stay and the area can be loud at night / early morning. Good place if you can stay cheap though

Convenient for conferences
If you have a meeting at the university conference Center than this is the most convenient place to stay if you have a early start. Parking cost 20chf extra so include that in your budget if you arrive by car . Otherwise public transportation is very good and you can get a free 24hr public transport ticket if you register with Lausanne tourism website.

Convenient practical on campus hotel
The on campus EPFL hotel directly at the Swiss Tech Center is very convenient for an overnight stay with no hassle to get to the conference. Reception very kind to offer explanations and the public transport pass. Direct access to metro station at the entrance. Simple clean and practical. The shutters outside the room window look a bit fricky "prison-like". Breakfast for 15chf is expensive for the limited choice. Will choose it again for any onsite conference.
