BEAUTIFUL & UPSCALE WATERFRONT HOME WITH FANTASTIC VIEWS & GOURMET KITCHEN

Picture phenomenal sunrises, five acres of lushly wooded hillsides and moss-covered slopes, a seasonal stream, the call of sea birds, and 300 feet of rocky shoreline. This is the beauty of nature that surrounds this northwest contemporary vacation home on Orcas Island.

You will find Erehwon Seaside at the end of a winding drive through a magical forest setting. This home is a well built and well cared for home offering sweeping views over East Sound and toward Mount Constitution and Rosario Resort.

The upper level living room features vaulted beamed ceilings, gleaming hardwood floors, and a propane fireplace. With soapstone counters, Sub Zero refrigerator, Viking range, and a large prep island, the kitchen is equipped to please the most discriminating chef. The laundry room and a queen bedroom is on this upper level as is a bathroom with shower. The living, dining, and bedrooms open onto over 2,000 square feet of decking overlooking the water that will invite you to embrace the great outdoors when you dine.

Downstairs you'll find the master bedroom suite featuring a king bed. The master bathroom is gracious, offering dual vanities, a large open shower, and a soaking tub with a view. Down the hall is a third bedroom that offers a full size bed, desk, and sofa bed. The lower level also offers a large sauna, a wood-burning fireplace surrounded by river rock, 65" Roku TV and soundbar.

**Do note that due to the high-bank and deck exposure, children will require strict adult supervision.**

Erehwon Seaside is located about 15 minutes from the Orcas ferry landing and about 15 minutes from the village of Eastsound.

  • Waldron Lookout, accessible via a spur trail at 1.5 miles up the northern trail. Turtleback Mountain is a wilderness-preservation success story. Recently the target of a development effort on Orcas Island, a popular weekend destination for people from Seattle, it was saved from that fate largely by the efforts of one man and his organization, Tim Seifert, executive director of the San Juan Preservation Trust. Thanks to their work, the mountain is now a wilderness area, in perpetuity. As a bonus, a network of trails is now available to allow hikers and sight-seers a chance to explore the mountain. The trails are beautiful and serene and not nearly as crowded as those on the more popular Mount Constitution, which sits on the other side of the island. There are just a few open viewpoints, such as this one, but they do pack a punch. Beyond that, the forest scenery is just fantastic.

This was one of the most amazing rentals I've stayed in. The property is secluded and expansive with many hidden gems for you to discover. The home was well-decorated, the kitchen is a true chef's kitchen complete with a stand mixer and a stocked spice cabinet, and everything felt cozy and warm. I have literally zero criticism. Absolutely incredible.

The best of the Pacific Northwest!

From the initial questions of the terrific property manager, Jared, answered so thoroughly and timely, to our arrival, stay, and checkout - EVERYTHING about this property exceeded the descriptions and our expectations! The privacy of the property, the amenities, and the condition of the furniture and house overall - the only thing that could come close to exceeding those things was the view...finally, something described as a million dollar view actually undervalued the view....simply without parallel! There is only one place that we will look to stay at again when visiting Orcas Island - 182 Silver Moon!!

Great House

Summer in Orcas

As noted in other reviews, the views from the deck of the house was amazing. Overlooks East Sound towards Rosario resort where one can watch seaplanes land and take off as well as boats heading towards the sound during the day. Location was ideal as it was very private and close to town for shopping/dining and the ferry. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, plentiful plates/utensils/silverware for a family meal. Rooms were well appointed with linens and baths had sufficient towels and basic toiletries. Overall, had a great time celebrating a 50th Anniversary with the family and will definitely make a return visit.

Fantastic Stay at Orcas Island

This is a gorgeous property a short drive from the ferry and Eastsound. The kitchen was well stocked with whatever you might need to cook a meal. We enjoyed the lovely weather on the deck overlooking the water. The steep walk down to the beach is great exercise and our kids loved all the starfish during low tide. Beds were comfy. Lots of different hang out areas for relaxing. The owner was very responsive when we had a question. Overall a great stay!

Wow, what a view!

We loved our stay at this beautiful home! It's the perfect place to unwind and relax. Gourmet kitchen with everything you need. Home was very clean, comfortable beds, nice bed linens and baths, all details were thought of. The hot tub and sauna were relaxing after a day of hiking. The town of Eastsound has an excellent grocery store and dinner options (especially enjoyed Matia) and don't miss Buck Bay Shellfish Farm. Fascinating to climb stairs down to the rocky beach at high and low tides. East sound views are seen from all bedrooms and living areas. Most of all, we enjoyed our time on the back deck of this home, in awe of the amazing view!
