Great place to stay, right by the water and walking distance to local amenities, plenty of street parking. Property spotlessly clean and beds comfy, really good shower. Jackie made us really welcome and kept in touch to make sure we got the best from our stay. Cooked breakfast was really well cooked and delicious.

Clean, comfortable and friendly.
Lovely clean guest house in excellent location. Jackie was a font of knowledge for the area. Prior to arrival she made contact with tips on where to purchase best value ferry tickets, checked any diatry and mobility requirements. Plenty of free roadside parking.

The service I received was excellent. After booking I was contacted by Jackie who advised me on the best options for travel to Dunoon. There was a warm welcome and I was advised on dining options in the area and the need to book in advance. The room was spacious clean and tidy with a fantastic view over the river Clyde. I would recommend this guest house and would certainly stay there again if I am in the area. Thank you Jackie.

you could not wish to meet nicer hosts, nothing was too much trouble and a lovely warm friendly welcome. Although the room was on the small side it had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean with a great bathroom. The host were very informative about the area and offered advice regarding dining in the area and the ferry crossing even before we went. Breakfast was really really good in fact the best we had in any of the hotels we stayed in on out trip. Would definitely stay again and recommend to people we know.

Day out in Dunoon
In a perfect position for exploring Dunoon and the surrounding countryside. Room was comfortable and clean and Jackie was very attentive. Breakfast was delicious and we would recommend the full Scottish breakfast and don't forget to try the homemade marmalade!

This property and hosts Jackie & Ray, are truly exceptional, could not do enough to make sure that our stay was so comfortable, friendly, very welcoming. Would definetly stay here n future visits to Dunoon, breakfast was perfect and delicious, if there was an award to give we would give them it.

The guest house is located very conveniently, a short walk to the town centre, restaurants and bars. The room had everything needed and was very warm. The breakfast was nicely cooked and we had a table with a sea view to enjoy. Worth mentioning that the kitchenware and cutlery was of good quality (Denby) too. Very-very friendly host Jackie who made everything possible to make our stay comfortable. Thank you!

Jackie went above and beyond to make our stay very enjoyable. She advised the best place to eat and the best place’s to visit on our short stay. The Cedars is spotless and we would definitely stay again and most certainly be recommending friends to stay if ever in Dunoon.

Fantastic view over the waterfront at Dunoon from our large and very comfortable bedroom. Jackie was a fabulous host giving helpful advice on ferry tickets, places to visit and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent.

Dunoon trip July 2021
Having been let down at our original accommodation due to double booking, we happened across The Cedars and booked a four day stay and were very glad we did. Jackie telephoned me to confirm our booking and choice of room along with many recommendations for our visit. We were met by Jackie upon our arrival and found her and indeed her husband in the background very friendly and helpful. Our very large double room overlooked the promenade and was a delightful place to sit in the evening. The room and bathroom themselves were scrupulously clean as was the rest of the house. Breakfast was excellent with high quality ingredients. Overall I would highly recommend The Cedars if you are contemplating a trip to Dunoon.

It is rare for hoteliers to take an interest in their guests or to provide such a personal service. I got much more than just a stay in a hotel.
