• Wi-Fi: Internet in isolated areas like this one is satellite based and is not always reliable. It can be slow, intermittent or unavailable, especially in bad weather. There is no cellular service in the area. Please bring a backup plan, such as downloaded shows or offline work. Wi-Fi is not guaranteed, and no refunds will be issued for Wi-Fi issues.
• Fireplace: the fireplace is wood burning. Wood is not provided. Please only use it if you are familiar with wood fireplaces.
• Well and Septic: the property is on a well and septic system. Some sediment, iron or calcium deposits in the water are normal.
• The property is near a lake, but water levels may vary throughout the year.
• A train runs across the street, and you may hear it during your stay.
• Lawn Maintenance: Lawn care may be performed periodically. The landscaper will only work outside, and no one needs to be present.
• Anticipate Wildlife Encounters: While we encourage you to enjoy the local wildlife, please be aware that wildlife encounters can occur in or near your rental. Please note that no refunds will be issued for wildlife-related issues in accordance with our rental policy. Feel free to reach out to us for exterminator services if needed during your stay.
• Extra garbage pickup can be arranged for an additional fee. Guests are encouraged to contact us directly to coordinate this service.
• Please keep the fridge at a moderate setting.
• Please don't put wipes or grease down the drains.
• When temperatures drop below freezing, we'd appreciate it if you could leave the faucets dripping slightly to prevent frozen pipes.
