Perfekt for ei natt med kort vei til flyplass
Roda Al Bustan ligger rett ved flyplassen i Dubai, allikevel innså vi fort at det er veldig knotete å gå dit. Taxituren kostet 30 AED så har du råd til å reise med fly har du også råd til taxi. Utsiden av hotellet er veldig pent, fri for alt som heter søppel og er døgnbemannet med vennlige og serviceinnstilte folk. Lobbyen er av den spektulære sorten med en svær sirkelformet bar i midten og et stort loungeområde. Innsjekk tar litt tid, akkurat som på alle andre hotell i Dubai. Etter innsjekk tok vi selv med bagasje noen meter fram til det dukket opp en piccolo som sørget for å vise oss til rommet, mulig vi var litt ivrig siden han ble litt fornærmet av dette — men, hvis det var viktig burde han kanskje fulgt litt mer med (som man gjerne gjør på et femstjerners hotell). Heisen til rommene var overraskende liten, den var full med to bagasjen og tre personer. Fra andre etasje kunne vi se at det som utgjorde taksøylene rundt den store flotte baren i midten av lobbyen ikke var rengjort, det var veldig mye synlig støv der, det er muligens pirk, men hotellet reklamerer seg selv som et 5-stjerners hotell og da kan man ikke ha 3-stjernes renhold. Rommet var passe stort, ryddig og pent. Gode senger, gode puter og bra temperert rom (takket være et stille aircondition). Frokosten helt Ok. Service veldig bra og hyggelig betjening. Alt i alt vil jeg si at dette er et oppimot 4-stjerners flyplasshotell, perfekt for å ha kort vei til flyplass reisedag, men that’s It.

Relaxing stay for 1 adult + 1 child
Really nice child friendly hotel with professional staff. Good restaurants on site and afternoon tea served with live piano music in Gazebo. Outdoor pool(s), kids and full size, with pool bar and life guards. I only have positive things to say about the hotel and our room during our 6 days stay.

One of the worst experiences with Moevenpick chain. The property should not have even qualified for the brand. Dirty carpet, smokey stench, stained bathroom floor, broken basin and 3 items on room service menu are few of the unthinkables that you would be welcomed with. Never again going to stay at this property!

Personal auf allen Positionen wie Rezeption, Zimmerservice, Restaurants etc. war stets sehr kompetent und sehr freundlich! Besonders die bereits renovierten Zimmer sind sehr zu empfehlen. Die Umgebung ist nicht sehr schön, aber die Nähe zum Flughafen ist prima.

It was a nice stay but Expedia platinum member is not well recognized I booked this hotel because it was a VIP hotel. I did not get any perks like other ViP hotels no early check in and only late check out at 2pm. They should be better with platinum Expedia members as we booked it because of perks

Hotellet ligger väldigt bra i anslutning till flygplatsen. Fint fräscht poolområde. Frukosten var fantastiskt bra med allt man kan önska.Tyvärr skulle vårt rum vara rökfritt men det kändes mer som ett askfat. Alla rummen i vår korridor var "rökfria" men då man passerade rum som hade öppna dörrar såg jag att det röktes i alla rummen mer eller mindre. Detta drar ner betyget ordentligt.

A decent airport-adjacent hotel
I like staying at this property when I first get to Dubai, its proximity to the airport is handy. Staff were incredibly friendly, with special mention to Stella. I was grateful for getting access to a room prior to official chrcj-in time, and although it was nervous about being placed in a smoking room (it was what they had available), it did not smell like smoke in the room at all. The pool area is spacious and gets a lot of sun through the day. I was disappointed that they no longer do the Mövenpick chocolate hour (it's now owned by Accor but is still Mövenpick-branded). The Executive Lounge has been closed since covid, they offer services in the Atrium or restaurant downstairs. During canape hour, you can order a limited selection of drinks, and the chef had a pre-set menu that was brought to my table - it was almost all meat, with calamari rings and another fried side. Vegetables of some sort would have been nice, the meat ratio was off...and I'm a meat lover. There's a tennis court connected to the fitness center, a private company manages it, you can pay for lessons, or if you're a guest and have rackets, you may be able to book a court. I opted to pay for lessons.

Pre our arrival I enquired about their shuttle service from the airport as we arrived at 1am … there is none I was told but can arrange pickup for 130AED (£28) … seemed high for a 5 min drive so declined. We took a taxi from Terminal 1 - 28AED (£6). The next day asked about a taxi to gold soul - they don’t have taxis at hotel but can take one of their 4x4 …asked doorman how much - 50AED (£11), I said ok … he told driver. Caught taxi back to hotel 28AED (£6). In evening we hailed a taxi passing to take us out. On our 6am departure there were no taxis about … asked their driver how much to Terminal 3 - 50AED (£11) I said the taxi only charged us £28 - he said ok 30AED … we agreed on 25AED … you need to negotiate!!!I think it’s a bad reflection on the hotel…. The rooms are large and quite dated and the bathroom had a shower in the bath with discoloured grouting… definaty needs updating for a 5 Star hotel. We only stayed here because it was near the airport and got a good deal through Expedia - would recommend staying next door at the Meridian… much nicer hotel and better rooms.

Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan Dubai is close to the Airport in Deira, Al Garhoud Area and can be reached with taxi and the metro, if you as a foreigner are not too shy to ask. The hotel is not brand new, but solid and impressive build with nice spacious rooms. The food caters to all tastes.
