Black Eagle Retreat

Black Eagle Retreat is an 1800 sq foot luxury chalet nestled atop of a two acre hillside with 180 degree views of Kentucky Lake. This three bedroom modern A-frame boasts floor to ceiling windows, an expansive open concept living area, fireplace, full kitchen and a large deck equipped with a grill and hot tub. It is the perfect getaway for a romantic weekend or for friends and family to enjoy nature. The property is also home to a pair of bald eagles, so don't forget your cameras!


Main level:

The open concept living area was designed to bring people together. The integrated space is equipped with a gourmet kitchen, large dining area, and a spacious sectional couch that seats six people around a mid century fireplace. The entire space boasts floor to ceiling windows for a full view of Kentucky Lake. We provide logins for many streaming services, including Youtube TV - perfect for football season!

The kitchen features quartz countertops, black stainless steal appliances, a kitchen island with seating for three people, and all the kitchen supplies you'll need to prepare a home cooked meal. Our dining offers plenty of space for six people along with an unforgettable view.

Located in the middle of the main floor, you will find our laundry area and a half bath.

The master bedroom is also on the main level. Here you will find an extremely comfortable king-sized bed, 65 inch flat screen TV with multiple streaming platforms, vintage dresser & mirror. The large en-suite bathroom has double vanity sinks, a walk-in shower with waterfall shower head feature, and separate toilet room.

The second level of the home contains two bedrooms. Each bedroom is equipped with brand new comfortable queen beds, USB-port charging lamps, and new flat screen TVs. There is a shared full bathroom with a shower & bath combo, spacious vanity, and waterfall shower head.

Quite possibly the most impressive part of this property is the deck area overlooking Kentucky Lake. With top of the line patio furniture, a BBQ, and a hot tub, the outdoor area is the perfect place to take in the breathtaking view..

Enjoy a fire beside the fire pit in our side yard, surrounded by six large Adirondack chairs, all equipped with phone and cupholders.

Our driveway is a bit steep, but the view is worth the incline. We have enough parking for 3 cars comfortably. Contact us if you need boat parking.

Seen from the deck and located about a mile away is Miss Kay's Nutcracker Shed. There is live music every weekend during the summer, a full bar and kitchen. Miss Kay's also has a boat ramp that costs $5 per launch.

Paris Landing State Park is a 20 minute drive away from Black Eagle Retreat. You will find numerous outdoor activities including a newly renovated tennis and basketball court, fishing area, kayak rentals, a pristine beach for lake swimming, countless bbq pits and picnic tables, as well as a brand new restaurant and bar with incredible food and lake views.

Dover has plenty of historical activities to offer as well - including Fort Donelson which offers miles of hiking trails and self-guided civil war tours.

The closest place to purchase package liquor, as well as groceries, is in Dover. That Rebel Spirit is a recently opened liquor store with plenty of options. Billy Ray's Booze is also located in Dover, off HWY 79.

Piggly Wiggly is a well-equipped grocery store located on the same highway. It would be wise to stop for all your groceries before heading to Black Eagle Retreat as the property is about 20 minutes past Dover. If you are traveling from Nashville, a great place to stop for supplies is Clarksville which is about halfway to Black Eagle Retreat.

For SEASONAL Fun:

Fat Daddy's Tiki Hut is a lakeside bar and grill hosting live music every Saturday & Sunday throughout the summer season. Check out their website for further info about who's playing! It's just a short 15 min drive away from the property.

A 25 minute drive down the road brings you to Buchanan Resort. An enjoyable day on the lake with one of their rental pontoons or kayaks is a great way to experience Kentucky Lake. They feature Avalon Pontoons and Jackson Kayaks. Contact the resort directly to schedule your rental!

A little farther by a couple minutes is Cypress Springs Resort. They provide both pontoon and jet ski rentals. Visit their website for more details. Their rates may be the best deal in the area.
