Encore Cottage is a down-to-earth ski in/out, trail-first basecamp in Tamarack’s Golden Bar neighborhood--the kind of place where you can leave your boots by the door. Ski in from Lower Encore, click out, and you’re home. In summer, step onto miles of hiking and biking trails. Inside: full kitchen, gas fireplace, A/C, private hot tub, smart TVs, and beds for 7. Clean, practical, and stocked with essentials for guests who care more about first chair and singletrack than fancy frills.


Tamarack Resort is a four-season destination 90 miles north of Boise; it's the perfect basecamp for your west central Idaho adventures, located between the recreation opportunities in Cascade and McCall or those further afield. Nestled on 3,500 acres with 2,800 feet of vertical and adjacent to Lake Cascade, it offers year-round recreation, including some of the best skiing and snowboarding in Idaho, Nordic and snowshoe trails, hiking, downhill and cross country mountain biking, zipline tours, whitewater rafting, and motorized and non-motorized water sports. Tamarack also offers a host of on-site dining and leisure activities, to include a spa, pickleball courts, and disc golf course. Be sure to check their schedule for hosted events and activities.

You'll have the entire home to yourself, including a fully-equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, private keyless entry, in-unit washer and dryer, covered deck, + private hot tub.

No garage access.

You'll also have access to the numerous amenities offered by Tamarack Resort; gas firepit at the Lodge at Osprey Meadows, pickleball courts, disc golf, and resort cross-country hiking/biking trails. This property doesn't have access to the Lodge fitness center, pool, or hot tub, but don't worry--the mountain is your gym, Lake Cascade is the perfect place to take a dip, and you've got your own private hot tub at the house!

• Driveway parking for up to 2 vehicles
• Additional guest parking available nearby (first-come, first-served)
• Oversized vehicles/boats: parking permits may be purchased from Tamarack Outfitters for the Aspen Parking Lot (call ahead to confirm availability)

RECOMMENDATIONS:
*If you're flying into Boise International Airport, we recommend renting a vehicle directly from the airport.

*It's possible to get an Uber from Boise/BOI to Tamarack Resort, although it's not necessarily a reliable mode of travel; depending on your arrival time and season, you may have difficulty finding a driver who will accept your ride. Uber is not currently accepting advance reservations for trips to Tamarack Resort from Boise; on-demand rides will be your only option.

*If you're traveling in winter or you plan to enjoy the many off-roading adventures available in Valley County, we HIGHLY recommend a 4WD vehicle.

SUMMER CONSTRUCTION NOTICE
Our summer is short, so construction season is fast and busy (June–September). We always try to note known projects, but we don’t always get a heads‑up about neighbors. We can’t control or refund for outside noise, but we’re always here to help brainstorm solutions if something comes up.

CANCELLATION POLICY
We stick to the cancellation terms you agree to at booking so it’s fair for everyone. Any refunds (except Airbnb) are less credit card processing fees. We strongly recommend travel insurance for peace of mind.
