Off by itself, very quiet and a beautiful view as well as a beautiful home. Didnt test the smaller room but main room mattress was a good mattress, much appreciated. My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer. Just a heads up, the water is a little odd flavored but bring a few bottled waters instead of drinking from the sink if you have a problem with that. Has pictures of what appears to be a real good boy in the living room so be prepared to smile. Nice deck and plenty of room to stretch out.

Delightful respite
Heather's Pillar Point Lakehouse is a comfortable, exceptionally clean retreat which also has all the modern conveniences. The location is superb being on the shore of the bay leading to Lake Ontario. It is lovely to hear the waves lapping against the rocky shoreline. Kitchen is fully equipped with all the needs for those like us who enjoy cooking. Very comfortable bed and seating in living room. All with great views. Heather is very easy to contact and she responds in a very timely manner. There are many enjoyable activities in the area both scenic, historic, and sport wise. Restaurants and pubs abound. We certainly hope to return.

Eclipse trip.
The lake house was very clean, quiet and relaxing. My wife, myself, my daughter and her husband drove up from Pennsylvania to see the eclipse. The rear deck was our favorite spot since the view is amazing. The westerly view made for some spectacular sunsets. The house is well equipped with whatever you need. The host was friendly, helpful and responded to my texts in a timely manner, almost immediately. I would recommend this house to anyone who wants a place off the beaten path with a great view.

Perfect weekend get away
This property is wonderful. Lakefront location is stunning. The bed was super comfortable. The hosts were helpful and the area is absolutely stunning. Will definitely want to return. Highly recommend.

New Years Eve stay
I’ve never walked in to a VRBO and had my expectations of the view and home exceed what I thought. Great thought into many details. Bed and pillows so comfortable. Loved the open concept and being able to see the lake. We had an issue with the water pump but Heather did everything she could to resolve quickly. Would have loved to complete our stay but the water issue could not be resolved. Not the hosts fault. It was out of their control. All that said we plan to be back. Great host, very thoughtful and responsive.

Awesome place!
We loved everything!! Very warm and cozy place that lives up to all of its 5 star reviews. The host even went out of her way to do us a favor by having someone to come jump our car which died overnight so i didnt have to pay for a service call! All around great!

Beautiful and relaxing
The owner has gone out of her way to provide a well-equipped house, and the deck overlooking the lake is a perfect place to relax. As another reviewer mentioned, it is a bit remote. That makes for a quiet neighborhood, and good bird-watching. However, there are often deer on the road at night.

Pillar Point hospitality
Pillar Point is a friendly relaxed beautiful location and this property let us enjoy it to the fullest. We spent virtually the whole week at or near the property. We loved taking walks along the roads listening to the waves crashing as we walked by. Sunsets were lovely and different every night. Kitchen was well stocked. I even made chocolate chip cookies from scratch.

Perfect Thousand Island area vacation spot
This was the perfect spot to stay during our Thousand Island vacation. Possibly the cleanest rental we've every stayed in - and situated in a very quiet area away from crowds and traffic. The deck overlooks Lake Ontario and treated us to beautiful sunsets and serenades from the local birds. The house was perfect for us - very comfortable bed and a well-stocked kitchen. Our host, Heather, was very informative and attentive to our needs. Thanks!

Lakehouse is a GEM! Rejuvenation, Restoration, Retreat!!
Our family was traveling from out-of-state for a wedding in the area, and though the Lakehouse was a significant distance from our daily wedding-related activities in Sackets Harbor, it was worth it to retreat to this peaceful and beautiful environment each evening! The Lakehouse is well stocked and we enjoyed cooking meals in the bright and open kitchen each day. Beds/Bedrooms were comfortable and we appreciated the darling rocking chair in the living room as well! We all enjoyed good, sound sleep ... likely due to the lake and abundant darkness all around! The Lakehouse environment certainly communicates "rejuvenation, restoration, retreat!!" We felt especially blessed for our "little gem" given we were involved in so much activity each day, and we highly recommend it to you & yours for the tranquility it promotes! Enjoy! Regarding the owner, Heather: She was absolutely wonderful, thoughtful and professional throughout the whole process. Thank you, Heather, for sharing your family's treasured Lakehouse with others ... we are so very grateful you do!

Visiting our son
My husband and I flew to the area to visit our son. He and his dog came over to stay with us. We had a wonderful visit. The cabin was perfect. The neighborhood was quiet. Although it’s a little remote we didn’t mind the drive. Hearing the water crashing on the rocks was so peaceful. We also enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the wildlife. We would definitely recommend this rental and do it again!

Great Get Away
My family with 2 teenagers just needed to get out of the house and get away. This was such a beautiful and relaxing spot. It gave us exactly what we needed. We enjoyed shopping at flea markets and watching sunsets. We all hope to return soon.

Wow, the view was unreal! I wanted to stay longer but didn't book it earlier. I have to say NY wasn't a place for me due to my thoughts of it's a fast life out there. Beautiful view of Lake Ontario
The view from the back deck is gorgeous! We chose this house for this reason and it did not disappoint. We came for a few days during Christmas and stayed during the blizzard. The wind was strong due to the storm, but I can assure you that this house is built to withstand these powerful winds. This was my biggest concern when I heard the blizzard was coming in. Power, wifi, and tv did not go out once. Heather was beyond awesome. She kept us informed of the latest road conditions and when the best time to leave would be. The house was beautiful and we were able to share memories that will last a lifetime. Will definitely book here again when we visit the area.

Sisters Get Away!
Perfect for my sister and I to meet for a few days. Beautiful location and setting. We loved listening to the water each night and morning on the deck. This property was AMAZING! We could not believe how clean and perfect this experience was. We picked this property for my husband, my mother and I. Sunlight and waves
My husband and I were looking for a relaxing weekend, and this place was perfect. The big sliding glass doors and windows let in the afternoon sunlight, plus the sound of waves crashing against rock below. We ate Italian food from a nearby restaurant, sat on the deck to see the sunset, and turned on the electric fireplace as soon as it got dark. On Saturday, we took a drive along the river: first to Cape Vincent, then Clayton, then Alexandria Bay, then Kring Point. We'll be back for sure!

Cool, Green Relaxing. Had a wonderful time watching the Fireworks over the 4th of July weekend of the back deck. The house gets a triple AAA for cleanliness, location and having everything you could need. We have stayed in many places and this rates up their with our favorite. Watertown/Dexter Visit
This property worked out extremely well for our 3 week visit to see our military son and his family! The house was very clean and the kitchen had many spices to use. The owner, Heather, was very accommodating for our requests. The house is right on the waters edge and we loved looking at it, especially for the sunsets. If you enjoy living right on the water, watching clouds, diving ducks, changing light and the weather, this is your place. How often do you get to see a snowy owl and a river otter on the same day? Beyond the amazing house and deck, the interior is so clean, warm, comfortable and well appointed. Need a sharp knife? There are five of them.. Need some coffee? French press or coffee maker at your disposal. Don’t even get me started on the amazing array of spices in the cabinets ... Need a bubble bath? Excellent tub for that. Need a nap? The bed and linens are extraordinarily comfortable and clean with a variety of pillows. I’ve stayed at a lot of places all over the world. This one is special. Heather is a delight. She was quick to respond to my questions and requests and went above and beyond to contact me after I had arrived to be sure everything was ok. As a solo person wanting a Christmas getaway, I could not have asked for anything more. A perfect gift. I would highly recommend this house if you love nature, cooking, the glow of TWO fireplaces and a dark night sky in the winter.

Wonderful vacation home!
We had a fantastic time! The house was absolutely perfect and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We used it as our home base for various adventures in the area. It was a wonderful place to return to to unwind every evening. The view of the lake is stunning and the neighborhood is quiet. We enjoyed walking and riding our bikes along the road. Overall, a terrific vacation home with a phenomenal hostess who thought of everything!

Perfect Lake View
This cottage was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the lake. The cottage living area opens to a deck above the lake that provides an amazing view of Lake Ontario and superb sunsets. The cottage was spacious and immaculate and had all the amenities we could have needed. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Amazing location
Heather’s home and location was absolutely stunning. The house was immaculately clean. The beds were beyond comfortable. I felt like I was in a five-star hotel sleeping at night. We are frequent renters at VRBO and I have to say this was one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Heather was an amazing host and the communication was great with her. The house had plenty of things for the kids to do like games and outdoor activities. They even provided life jackets and pool noodles for swimming. I would highly recommend Heather’s place. We had an absolutely fantastic weekend with lots of beautiful pictures of the sunset straight off the dark to take home for our scrap book.

Top Notch Everything!
This is an absolutely tremendous property. Heather was an amazing host from the initial interest in the property through check out. The location was amazing. Right on Lake Ontario with awesome views of the sunset. The house itself was very clean and had a newer feel. Spacious for our family of four. The lot across the street was great for kids to play and the deck out back looked new and was very nice! Thank you Heather for a great few days including the recommendation of the concert and fireworks in Watertown!

Great place to stay - beds very comfortable, lots of space in the kitchen and living room. Great view of the lake off the deck. Nice fire pit across the street. We would come back, really enjoyed our stay at the cottage.
