  • Welcome to 11B Saulsbury Street in the heart of Dewey Beach! This charming, pet-friendly beach cottage features two bedrooms and one bathroom, comfortably sleeping up to six guests. Inside, a bright, open living area invites you to unwind and flows directly onto a screened porch—perfect for sipping morning coffee or relaxing in the evening after a day by the water. The kitchen is well suited for easy vacation meals, offering a two-burner cooktop and deluxe microwave (please note there is no oven). Parking is simple and convenient with a private driveway that fits up to three vehicles, and no overflow parking is available. Best of all, you're just steps from the sandy beach, with the ocean practically at your doorstep, and only a short walk to Dewey Beach's restaurants, shops, bars, and entertainment. Two dogs are welcome with a signed pet addendum and a pet fee per dog; no cats are permitted. Linens are not provided, but a linen rental package is available for your convenience. Whether you're here to relax, explore, or soak up the coastal energy, 11B Saulsbury Street makes a wonderful home base for your Delaware beach getaway. The rental is wonderful due to the location. It was not as clean as other rentals I've had in the same group. I think the rental needs a good cleaning and refreshing.Good: Lots of books, lots of plates and silverwarenew dishwasher, good washer and dryer - but the lint basket in dryer is rotted outThere were a lot of cute, small juice glassesAir conditioning worked very wellNot Good:Baseboards throughout the rental were very dirty making the space Wall behind the bathroom sink needs refreshingClothes hanging in front bedroom closet.Only 3 wine glasses and they were all different sizesOnly two cocktail glasses, and they were not the same sizeTrashcans are too small for the closetKitchen mat was either very dirty or very stainedHad to move coffee maker to use efficiently

Here’s a balanced review that clearly explains the issues while remaining fair:The location is the biggest advantage of this property. It’s an easy walk to the beach, which made getting back and forth very convenient.Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended for us. The cottage is extremely small and very outdated, which wouldn’t necessarily be a problem if it were priced accordingly. Instead, it’s being rented at a premium price, and it simply doesn’t deliver the value you’d expect.There were several maintenance issues that should have been addressed before guests arrived, including burned-out light bulbs, a dryer lint screen that was burned through, a bathroom sink that barely drained, and broken shower shelves that left nowhere to put toiletries. The bathroom also had a strong urine odor that reminded us of a portable restroom, which was unpleasant throughout our stay. Outside, the picnic table was so weathered and unstable that it wasn’t suitable to use.Check-in was also disappointing. Although check-in was listed as anytime after 3:00 p.m., we had to wait nearly an hour because the cleaning crew was still preparing the property.At checkout, there were no place provided to dispose of our trash, so we ended up taking it with us on our three-hour drive home.Overall, we left disappointed. I understand that booking last minute can limit options, and that’s partly on me, but for the price this property commands, I expected a much
