I have to say that the inital Staff were not the reason for the low rating. When We arrived (Family of 4) the Staff were courteous and helpful. We realized once inside that the Hotel was busy, and their were a lot of Families with Children. This was not initially a problem, but became a larger problem later.
The Room was clean enough, the hardwood floors were a nice touch, and unexpected in a lower tier Hotel. The Beds were a bit thin, but not uncomfortable, and there was no sign of Bed Bugs. The issues began once we tried to adjust the heat in the room. The thermostat was unresponsive, and we waited to see if it would change. The temperature in the room stayed at a constant 62 degrees after adjusting to 70.
The Bathroom had hair left over in the corners of the room, but the Shower was clean. Hot water ran well, and we had more Towels in the Room than initially expected.
Once we moved to lay down though this was one of the worst experiences we have had in a Hotel ever. The Children/Guest on our floor were consistently running up & down the Hallway. They would also yell down the Hallway, keeping my Family awake through the night until 2:30 am when we assumed they were asleep. Prior to that time we attempted to call the Front Desk 3 different times (once on the Room Phone, twice on my Cell Phone) with no response. We decide to not confront the other Guest, but would think twice about staying at this Hotel.
