Caribbean Dunes is a complex located across the street from the sugar white sands of the Crystal Beach in Destin. Vacation rentals in this quiet, family-oriented private resort provide you with everything you need for the ultimate Florida vacation! All the excitement of Destin is just minutes away: choice of watersports, golf, amusement parks, and outlet shopping. One glimpse of Destin beaches and you're hooked. It must be the wide, sun-bleached beaches and the famous emerald waters. Not to mention the fabulous fishing, the world's most beautiful beaches, addictive seafood and the full array of activities for kids of all ages and more fun to be found in Destin. 

Here you will find wind surfing, snorkeling, water-skiing and parasailing offered all along the Gulf shores. Nearby attractions include a fascinating aquarium, Naval history museums, a fishing museum, and a zoo featuring Colossus the giant gorilla and rare white Bengal tigers. Of course, you'll want to savor the unique and delicious flavors of the freshest seafood available at any of Destin's more then 100 eateries! Restaurants here range from casual oyster bars to elegant bistros serving culinary delights guaranteed to please your palate.  

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also, for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest!  Destin Commons also has a mini train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters and Bass Pro Shop. 

If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017.  Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

Great stay

Everything was great here. Location is just down the road from alot of shopping and activities plus right across from beach access and a nice restaurant on the corner. Destin Harbor was only a few minutes away by car too. The condo is very nice, the only thing I thought it needed was an update to the tub/shower, it is a little dated. If you want someplace nice stay at an affordable price, this is it. Definitely will look at first when I book next trip to Destin.

The property was very clean, comfortable, quiet, and convenient. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The location is excellent, a few steps away from a beautiful beach! The property management company was very communicative and easy to work with. Can't wait to go back!

nice little condo

Great little condo very close to my conference at the Henderson resort. No ice maker, but found ice trays. A/C worked great and I kept the ceiling fans going. Water pressure is good in the shower, and it got hot quickly. My only request would be to have a k-cup coffee maker in addition to the regular drip maker.

Destin condo

We overall really enjoyed our stay, but the check in process and a few other mishaps caused some issues. The power was not on when we got there and we had to stay in a different condo for the night. They did give us a small refund for the inconvenience. The pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance and we were not aware of that until we tried to go in. Other than that, the location was great and everything else went smoothly.

Location is perfect. The unit was a little dated and didn’t appear all that clean. There was old moldy coffee still in the coffee maker and the dishwasher didn’t work well. I did let the property manager know about the coffee maker and they offered to have someone come clean it. But it probably should not be used by anyone after looking like that for health safety reasons. The bathroom fan also didn’t work and just made a loud noise when turned on. The beds were not comfortable and the linens were not great. There were no extra blankets, only the thin spread that was on the beds. Although we did not use them, there were beach toys and things left outside to use which was nice. Overall it met our needs but I would not book it again.

We always stay at Caribbean Dunes for our vacation. This unit was ok. Definitely functional for what we needed it for. There was a negative review before we came and I feel like they addressed those issues which is nice. But it could use a good cleaning and updating on outside furniture etc.

While we loved the location of the condo, we were disappointed by the condition of the unit. It looked as if it could use a deep cleaning. We noticed stains on the furniture, mold and mildew in the jacuzzi tub ( jets), the curtains and undersides of comforters appeared dirty. We understand at this price point, the unit might be outdated, but we were underwhelmed.

The Caribbean Dunes complex is a perfect spot for a beach vacation. So convenient to stores and restaurants plus the beach is just across the street. I would highly recommend this condo for families or just a couples getaway.

Great location close to the beach!

Condo is as advertised. Check-in was simple. RealJoy communicated regularly. The property is located just across the street from the beach with partial views. There are two public beach access points within a couple hundred yards. Condo is clean and well supplied. Couch showed some wear and tear, but we really didn't use it, so not a big deal. The bed was comfortable. I would have liked to have a stand for my suitcase and a light by the bed. We made due by using a kitchen stool and one of the living room lamps. The key for the back door was a really nice addition so we didn't have to go to the front door every time we went outside. The seating on the patio is comfortable. Overall, no real complaints. I would rent this condo again.

What a Great Property!!

The photos and map do not do this property justice - it is SO CLOSE to the beach!! On the way (about a 1-block walk), is an adorable cafe and restaurant, Camille's. So, there was little reason for us to venture too far, which gave us extra time at the beach. The house was appointed with everything we needed. We even enjoyed the games that the owners have in the cabinet. The place was super-clean and exactly as described in the listing. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone that is planning a trip to the beach!!

The location beats everything!

Clean, comfy place.. Located minutes away from beach is very convenient! The only thing we found disappointing is there was no coffee, tea or any condiments(sugar, salt, pepper) . Also we couldn’t find any laundry detergent. Overall i would recommend the property!!!

Great location and beach stuff!

Great property, for whatever reason there was a cabinet front missing and no place to hang towels in kitchen. Just a little odd. The check out process was rushed and not good. the lady came to clean about 30 minutes early and I was in the shower Before if my 15 hour drive home. She burst in since I didn’t answer, trying to clean and then stood outside of the door while I finished loading my car. This is probably what you get with a Management group and not a person or family owning and renting a property. Sadly, this was how I remember the stay since it was the last thing that happened.

property issue

The room was good and location was perfect. Issues with people complaining about our golf carts all week. It was a very disturbing and annoying experience made it seem if someone was trying to make our stay uncomfortable. We spoke to other owners of the condos which had no problem. Hope everyone would be in the same page.
