  • Breaking Waves Retreat er den perfekte havutsikten hjem for en Oregon-kystferie med familie eller venner. Plassert blant trærne i et rolig nabolag omtrent tre miles nord for sentrum av Depoe Bay, kan brøl av brytebølgene bli hørt fra alle rom i dette hjemmet. Med fire soverom og to og en halv bad, kan denne ferie utleie plass til opptil ti personer. Hovedetasjen har et flott rom med et tak med åpen bjelke, en komfortabel stue med sovesofa og gasspeis, et velutstyrt kjøkken for alle dine matlagingsbehov, og et spiseplass som også inneholder et stort utvalg av spill og bøker. Hovedetasjen dekker hele husets lengde og ligger rett utenfor stuen med en nydelig havutsikt. Hovednivået har også et halvt bad og et komplett bad med dusjkabinett. Det er tre dronning soverom i hovedetasjen. Det er også et stort vaskerom med en praktisk vaskemaskin og tørketrommel, høy stol, baby porter, og en pakke og spill tilgjengelig for gjestenes bruk. Andre etasje inneholder en annen stue, lite kjøkken og et annet dekk for å nyte mer av havutsikten. Mesteren suite med en queen size-seng og stort bad med badekar og dusj kombinasjon er også i andre etasje. Begge stuene har TV og DVD-spiller. Det er også en TV i master suite. Denne ferie utleie tilbyr også to tvilling luftmadrasser hvis de små vil sove i samme rom som deres foreldre. Wi-Fi tilbys over hele hjemmet. Tilgang til stranden er omtrent en fire minutters spasertur ned en litt bratt sti (de små må kanskje holde fast ved foreldrene sine). Stranden er praktisk talt privat, da den bare er tilgjengelig for nabolaget. Mens du er på ferie her, kan du ta en lang tur til Fishing Rock og utforske tidevannsbassenger ved lavvann, fly en drage, bygge sandslott eller jakte på agater. Med bare en ti minutters kjøretur sør for Lincoln City, er det mange restauranter og et outlet mall for deg og din familie å utforske. Bare 20 minutter nedover Hwy 101 er Newport Hatfield Museum og Oregon Coast Aquarium. Med et så flott hjem å tilbringe sommerferien på, vil du komme tilbake igjen og igjen! Great Stay

Every thing was great! access to the beach and shopping was very close. Only thing would have been better was a BBQ and a way to rinse off before you track sand into the house.

Overall simple but nice, walk to beach a bit difficult, limited cleaning products. No outdoor grill was a disappointment. While we had two minor issues with a broken coffee maker and a clogged sink the response and follow up was excellent.

Perfect family getaway!

This property provided a perfect family getaway and is a great location for beach combing and exploring the Oregon coast. The house could easily accommodate a large or small family/gathering, with four bedrooms/three bathrooms, space for an air mattress, and two living rooms. Beach access is within walking distance and the neighborhood is quiet and well maintained. Plenty of linens and kitchen items and an operational washer and dryer. Check in/out instructions were user-friendly.

Stay at the beach

The house was very nice and easy to get to the beach. The only issue was that the upstairs bathroom smelled like pee and the bathroom floor was sticky. It was not clean. The rest of the house was very nice. It had a great view of the ocean.

Grandma's Bday

3 couples and (Mom Grandma / Great Grandma). It was My Mother inlaws 89th birthday. We came from Washington and my sister inlaw came from Colorado. It was a really nice home and in a really nice spot. We were able to make our own meals. a very nicely equipped Kitchen. We bummed around on the beach and hung out on the deck. Just perfrct.

Great oceanfront getaway

The goal of ocean views and proximity to the beach was met superbly in this rental. Thrilled with all the tools and kitchen items to help with meals while we were there. When we arrived the house was rather cool but warmed to the desired temperature within just a few minutes. Loved the upstairs additional living area! Had an issue with the upstairs shower but assistance arrived to fix the problem within a few hours. Yes, the short path to the beach is steeper for the less agile, but only a few footsteps. If we need a larger house for a big group, we will definitely rent again.

Our first of many family vacations on the Oregon Coast!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very pleased with this rental. When we arrived, I could not find my email that gave me the instructions to enter the house. I made a call and was walked thru the process. The woman I talked to was very nice and helpful. The house was clean, with a well equipped kitchen, lots of towels, nice size kitchen table, lots of room to spread out, games and puzzles to use, enough space to park our cars, beautiful view of the ocean and see the sunsets, large deck and nice patio, quiet neighborhood, close to a grocery store. The walk to the beach was short, a little steep, but got use to it after just a few days. It was so helpful to have a hose by the front door to wash the sand off our feet. The only thing I would have appreciated having was a grill and a table on the deck for meals. I would recommend this house!

Great house on Oregon Coast

This house was as advertised. It is a great location just a short walk to the beach. And you have great views of the ocean from the house since it sits up above the houses in front of it. We even saw a grey whale from the house on our last day there. We stayed here as a home base for 4 nights as we did some day trips to Universities and hiking. It's also about 15 minutes away from Depoe Bay which is great for whale watching from the shore. The house was well stocked and even provided soap and shampoo which many VRBOs don't. There were only 4 of us so we had plenty of space. But there would have easily been room for 8. Two tips while staying there - the dryer took a little while to dry our laundry. Make sure you plan for that. We didn't give ourselves enough time on our last night there and we were up later than we hoped. Also, we didn't find a hair dryer anywhere so make sure to bring one of those. The fireplace pilot will always be on so you will get a slight smell of gas, but that is normal. Overall, this was a great property and I'd recommend it for any groups of 4-8 people. We didn't get a chance to spend as much time there as we had hoped since we were out, but when we were there it was great.

Breaking Waves Retreat 23 Feb - 26 Feb

The main living area had space heaters for a heat source. There was no guidance left for us. We attempted to use the fireplace but it quickly went out. We called the help number wearily the next morning and we’re told someone would be out in the afternoon. The representative, who was very friendly and kind, showed up after 5:00 pm. He was able to get the fireplace going, but it quit working working 5 minutes of his departure. So we called again. A bit later a different representative came by, also friendly and kind, and fiddled with the fireplace. He knew enough to say there was something wrong with the igniter and offered us another space heater as it was going to be cold again that night. I’m disappointed that we were unable to use the fireplace, not only for warmth, but for its cozy ambiance. I am also troubled that space heaters were the only other option and that the furnace in the home didn’t heat that main room in the house at all. I would love to bring my grand children to this lovely property, however, will have to reconsider with the knowledge that not only is heat an issue, but also a safety hazard for small children and a potential fire hazard for all. Otherwise, this is a lovely property and we enjoyed our stay.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property itself was very nice. The furniture was comfortable as were the beds. It would be nice to have a chair in the bedrooms. The view was nice as was the location. The property was pretty clean but as my sister said for the $200 cleaning fee and the $70 damage fee the place should have been spotless and well stocked. The floor upstairs needed some attention and the TV table needed dusting. We were there seven days and they only gave us four pods for the dishwasher. We had to use one the morning we left so that left us only three for the whole week. The big problem was the upstairs bathroom window had no curtain on it and the neighbors could look straight in and see us plainly on the bathroom. I called the management around 4pm when we got in on Sunday and the answering operator didn't seem concerned and said she would let management know first thing Monday. I finally called again at around 10:30 Monday and the receptionest said a work order had been filled out. We never saw or heard from anyone for the rest of our stay. We enjoyed our stay there but would not recomend it to anyone as long as this company is managing it. We also thought their attitude about payments and the chance of emergencies causing a cancelation was a little heavy handed.

Beautiful Beach House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at another beach house in Depoe Bay for 18 years, but it was just sold, and our reservations were canceled. We scrambled at the last minute to find another place to stay. Breaking Waves was one of the few rentals left so we booked it. We were so pleasantly surprised! It is a beautiful, comfortable home that we enjoyed for a week. We will definitely return to this home for another stay and in fact, it may just become our new destination! Now to be a little nit-picky - there is a window covering in the upstairs bathroom that isn't functional and is stuck in a semi-open position. The window is clear, so that was a little uncomfortable. The only other item we found we weren't completely happy with was a dirty, wet child's dish in the cupboard. We avoided that. But otherwise it was clean and completely functional, comfortable, and absolutely beautiful.

Good not Great

Don’t get me wrong, we enjoyed ourselves. You have to have reasonable expectations. You are not staying at a hotel so you can’t expect same experience. There was a couple of things that we would’ve of wished were different. For example, having stayed there twice, the property was much cleaner the first time. This time there was gunk around the edges of range, dust bunnies and cobwebs around most of the rooms. Also, we checked in on Friday and checked out on Tuesday and on Friday the garbage can was so full the lid wouldn’t shut and it was strapped down to keep stuff from flying away. The garbage doesn’t pick up until Monday We were a group of 7 so we had to stack garbage along side of the can all weekend and try to keep critters from getting into it. Little things like that we wish were different but overall our trip was enjoyable, that said, we probably won’t stay at this property again. We paid similar prices to hotels in area, for the money we should of just booked a hotel.

Reviewer Comments: We really liked the house and it was ery clean but this house does not sleep 10 and should not be advertised as such. Yes there are two blow up mattresses but one is not working. My opionion putting people on the floor should not be part of the 10.There was not enough hand some for all bathrooms in fact one had no hand soap. The house had only one large trash bag. So I had to buy more trash bags and more hand soap for the bathrooms.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The bad: We arrived to a house that was not even close to clean. Thankfully, the management company brought the cleaning person back that same afternoon to do further cleaning. But we still had to do some cleaning ourselves, particularly in the kitchen and living room areas. Our second problem was absence of internet. Having booked the week as a work vacation, this was a significant problem for us. Internet was not restored until the day before we left, and even then it was very slow (5MPS download). Some living room furniture needs to be replaced. The Good: The house itself was great. Lots of space, with a great view of the Pacific from both levels. The pictures on the web site don't do it justice. The only noise we heard were the crashing waves. I would stay here again if there was some sort of guarantee that it was cleaned thoroughly and that Internet was available.

Sisters getaway (5 of us)

The weather was very rainy and windy so ocean visit not possible. Heating in house unbalanced-living room cold,bedrooms too warm. But overall we loved the size and it worked well for our sisters getaway. We would definitely stay there again. (The glass shelf in downstairs full bath fell and didn't break but the attachment system will not hold that weight of glass. We out it under the sink to be fixed.)
