«The hotel is only about a year old so the building and all the fittings and furniture are in as-new condition. The staff were all cheerful and a delight to work with. The food was good both breakfast and the evening meals. The location right on the foreshore is attractive with lovely views of the sunrise but it is well away from the centre of Torquay. When I arrived Google maps had the location 300 metres too close to the main part of Torquay so you need to check this before setting a route.»

«We had a pleasant stay overall. The location is excellent, with beautiful views and easy access to Torquay. The hotel’s public areas are lovely and full of character, and the breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The staff were also friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. «There was a wedding party which I was advised before I arrived. The hotel called me to confirm this which I was happy with. They brought the evening meals to the room which was very enjoyable. I have no issues with this whatsoever. They kept me informed. »

«A run-down hotel that has seen better days. I stayed on the third floor, and the room was absolutely terrible. There were signs of leaks and bad odors, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, and I found a spider in the room. The pool and breakfast were okay. However, stay somewhere else if you want a certain standard for your holiday.»

«Room was lovely and bright, could just see the estuary in the distance. Comfy bed, bathroom was small. Food was great, even served roast on Sun evening and it was delicious. We ate both nights of our stay, food was delicious and restaurant really busy which is a good sign. Staff and locals were very friendly. All in all a great find.»

«The staff was amazing! The room super cute and convenient, and had everything you want. It was very clean, but the one thing that stressed me out was the mold in the shower. To me it seemed very obvious visually, and the smell was strong. It didn’t feel healthy to stay there, and I hope this isn’t the reason I got sick shortly after the stay. The room seemed to be renovated soon, so I hope this will be fixed. Too bad with such an issue when the rest of the stay was wonderful! I’d love to come ...
