I had booked a stay at Park Inn for my wife and her father. They arrived quite late at night, and the hotel graciously upgraded their room, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. The night team was extremely helpful, courteous, and made them feel comfortable after a long day.
Unfortunately, the experience just before checkout was disappointing. A staff member named Soni was unhelpful, disengaged, and came across as borderline discriminatory. Her behaviour and body language visibly changed when she attended to German guests who were next in line, which left my wife feeling quite uncomfortable.
Thankfully, her colleague Sejal noticed my wife’s irritation and stepped in to assist. Sejal handled the situation professionally and with empathy, which we truly appreciate.
Overall, the stay had the potential to be a 5-star experience, and it would have been one if not for the poor behaviour encountered at checkout. Consistency in service and sensitivity across all guests is something the hotel should reflect on.
