SCAM – DO NOT BOOK. I paid for my room three months in advance, yet when I arrived, the hotel had given my confirmed booking (along with at least 12 other guests) to SpiceJet passengers whose flights were canceled because they have a “contract” with the airline. This is completely unacceptable mismanagement. How do you justify giving away prepaid rooms?
At midnight, we were told we would be sent to another hotel 10 minutes away, we are two females. When I checked the reviews, photos, and pricing, it was clearly a below-par property with poor ratings, minimal amenities, and a price less than half of what I had paid. Some guests who went there returned saying it was not livable and nowhere near the standard or price they had booked.
Gautam, the manager on duty, had no answers and simply stood there, while the owner refused to take calls. The police were called at 2 a.m., with a 7 a.m. flight to catch, Gautam promised in writing to refund 50% of the booking amount for the inconvenience. We reluctantly stayed at the alternate hotel, and the room was extremely disappointing. They wouldn’t even provide breakfast, so we had to return to the original hotel for it.
When I filed a complaint through Expedia to receive the promised refund, it was declined twice, and the hotel stopped responding altogether. This was dishonest, stressful, and completely unprofessional. Avoid at all costs. Pathetic owner and manager, this hotel needs to shut down.
