Good value for the price. Older property with updates. Clean rooms. Fun retro vibe. Solid breakfast. Great pool for a budget stay.
Our family travels to Del Rio a few times a year. We usually stay somewhere else or in an Airbnb, and only book here when those aren’t available at the price we want. We’re typically in town for a long weekend and just need a good budget place since we don’t spend much time in the room.
This property has been remodeled since our last stay. It still has that ‘70s/’80s layout and feel, both inside and out, but they’ve done a really good job cleaning it up. The rooms are updated, nice, and comfortable. The hard surface flooring is a big upgrade — much better than carpet.
If you’re on the first floor, the rooms have two doors — one to the outside and one to the interior hallway — just something to be aware of depending on what you prefer.
They really leaned into that ‘70s/’80s vibe in the breakfast area. The flooring is colorful and fun, and the furniture matches it. It actually made me chuckle — I enjoyed it.
Breakfast itself was solid and better than expected for this price range.
The staff were very accommodating and easy to be around. It had more of a laid-back, family-type feel rather than being overly formal, which we liked. They showed some flexibility that really helped our family, and my daughter and her friend had a great time at the pool.
