Great stay in Decorah
This lovely older home is just as advertised… thoughtfully updated, well equipped, clean, and great location within easy walking distance to downtown Decorah. And a great collection of vinyl as an added bonus! Enjoyed our stay very much. Thanks!

This place was great… clean.. well located… easy to communicate with owner/manager. It was more difficult than I expected just having one bathroom… and the stair case was a bit steep with short stairs… but it was very well set up to be a VRBO… and I loved the old turntable and records!! We had fun with that!

Perfect for what we needed!
Location was close to fairgrounds where wedding reception was held. Close to restaurants. Great communication with owner. She answered questions promptly and was helpful. House was Clean and organized. Clear directions given. Great place to stay!

Such a cute place!
The Tusen Takk house was adorable! It was clean, cozy, and decorated and renovated so beautifully! Our hosts were also very easy to work with and very responsive to our needs. We were in town for a funeral and it was so nice to be able to stay together here. Decorah is such a beautiful town, we only wished we could have stayed longer! We'll be back and highly recommending Tusen Takk to our family and friends

My group of four friends had the nicest stay at this property. Great location, blocks from the main street, comfy beds, quiet, had everything we needed. Even saw deer roaming the neighborhood. Highly recommend.

Family Girls Trip
This was the first time we stayed in a VRBO. This house looked exactly like the photos. Super clean and cute!! So nicely decorated. There was plenty of room for the four of us. We appreciated the details/little things the owner has done. Ice cubes in the freezer, a binder with tons of local information, instructions for checking out, chocolates in a bowl and the history behind the name of the house. We ordered in food, from the list of local places in the binder, and hung out in the living room. All the food places were close by and you could walk to other establishments if you wanted. Owner also responded quickly to messages and was very helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend this VRBO, we all loved it.

Perfect getaway home
Overnight getaway for 3 friends. This home worked great for us. Very clean, comfortable beds, a spot for us outside to enjoy our morning cup of coffee, and lots of cute decor. We enjoyed playing albums on the record player. Will stay here again if in the area.

Adorable house in a great location!
We were so impressed with the Tusen Takk home. Janice was extremely accommodating; she allowed us to check in early even though she had a glitch with her cleaning service and the house was so cute and clean. The kitchen was well-stocked enough and they even had coffee available (which was perfect because I'd forgotten to buy grounds)! Instructions about checkin/ checkout were clear. My kids LOVED the old fashioned record player and games. AND... my 8 year old left her all time favorite blankie & teddy bear here; we were able to contact them and she rush-shipped it for us the following day. We're so appreciative. Would definitely recommend and I'd stay here again if we're in town!

We certainly hope you enjoyed your stay in Decorah and the Tusen Takk House. Unfortunately a cozy 1890s house size does not permit a second bathroom. We hope that was not a surprise to you as the listing amenities say that there's only one bathroom. I will check into the shower hot and cold issue. I have had many guests and myself stay there recently have not experienced that.

Light and Lovely Decorah home
This lovely red house had everything we needed for a fun midweek get together with old friends. The kitchen was very well equipped, including good pans, baking utensils, etc. The living room was a highlight, the pictures say it all. We are seniors so it's good to know that 2 bedrooms are up and the bath is on the main floor with the 3rd bedroom. It was ok for us. Nice neighborhood, close to downtown but very quiet. Everything was in good condition and we were very cosy and would definitely come back.

Pleasant stay in Decorah
Tusen Takk had plenty of room for four adults. The property was clean and well-equipped. There's also a strong WiFi signal throughout the home. Communication was excellent and we hope to stay here again in the future.

Trip to Decorah Iowa
We had a relaxing weekend staying at Tussen Tak close to downtown Decorah ! The house was very clean and we had a comfortable stay for 3 nights . We will definitely consider this rental the next time we visit the area !

Tusen Takk was a pleasant place to stay for four people, and could accommodate more. The rooms are bright and clean, with abundant coffee, kitchen ware, beds, even games and books. Wi-fi and keypad worked well, too. Instructions were clear and well-communicated. Thanks for the stay!

While we only stayed for one night, the Tusen Takk was so cute! The home was very clean and the space was cozy and cute. The personal touches like the coffee bar, farm fresh eggs, and single-use makeup remover pads in the bathroom were the perfect extra touches to make us feel welcomed. Our group also enjoyed the fire pit and the great vinyl record collection. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Decorah!

Tusen Takk will not disappoint!
We enjoyed our two-night stay at Tusen Takk. For three older women whose primary focus was to catch up with each other and work on crafts, Tusen Takk was very, very adequate. We appreciated the farm fresh eggs and wonderful coffee/tea bar. We liked sitting in the comfy living room with the fireplace adding a lot of warm ambiance on a rainy day.
