The advertisement on the VRBO and Koala sites were ocean view, the name of the place is 'Ocean Walk', but our room was out back on the 11th floor, overlooking the parking decks and the street with terribly loud and obnoxious motorcycles all early for the Daytona Bike Week that started the next week. The people at the resort desk explained to us that their members rent the rooms and supply the verbiage. They don't have much control over who rents out which units and where they are in the resort, but they did move us up from the 11th to the 22nd floor. Still sounded like we were on the ground floor with the bikes. I would never have gone here if I knew this. I will never go here again. I should have done my due diligence. It's my fault really, but VRBO could do more to protect consumers by making resort renters post their unit numbers on their ads so that we can call to find out where the rooms are in the resort. If that had been done here, for example, I could have called the resort, asked where the room was, and then known to avoid it like the plague.
