Interesting decor, a bit of a smell in stairwell, shower was difficult to operate for small hands.Online pix a bit deceiving- not a good view of Lake Banook. Good location.

Quaint, small, clean comfortable and accommodated my two dogs inspite of the fact that I had to carry kennels via the elevator (very small) to the second floor. The staff were super helpful and made our stay pleasant. They helped us several times when the card key wasn't working and when the heavy doors were not opening. While there is a ramp to use a trolly, there is no door push for the inside doors. The outside doors are very heavy and not user friendly which could be improved. I'm not sure how wheelchair accessibility could get inside when I had difficulty with the trolly. Didn't have time to try the breakfast but appreciated the coffee counter located in the lobby. Thanks from my dogs for the accommodation...we had fun at the dog show.

Not bad for the price. You get what you pay for. Old building. In need of some updates. Ice machine was out of order. Cigarette butts every where on the ground in front of the building. Staff was friendly and polite.

It needs a lot of renovations. Only one plug worked in the entire room. TV remote was broken. Shower made screeching sound when showering. Toilet took forever to flush. Pictures on website are very deceiving. I wouldn’t stay here again.

My main reason for choosing the property is it's ease of access to the purpose of my visit. We have been staying there a few times a year for about 24 years, so I keep up pretty well with what's happening there.

We stay one night, and never again!!! there were kids running around all night banging on everyone’s doors. We had a horrible night. We payed for 3 nights but we checked out Friday morning. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Further more I couldn’t even get a refund. There should be something done about this.

Building is OK but older. Lack of outlets had us unplugging lamps to plug in chargers etc. Walls between units are very "thin" as we could hear our neighbors at times. A lot of little things that could use some work in the room. All in all OK, service was fine but not a great building.

Location wasn't too bad. Hotel interior had some good charm for the decor. We arrived very late at night, and room was not too bad looking, however we found a bed bug on a pillow. Went down to change rooms and the front desk agent came in from his car heavily smelling of marijuana. When checking out the next morning, the front desk showed usual token concern about the experience but nothing more.

We had a terrible stay. On arrival the heat was extremely high in the room and had to put the AC on to cool it off , in March. The bed was too soft and very uncomfortable as well as the pillows.

It was clean and the bed was really comfortable but the room worn. The furniture had the edges scuffed completely off, the door had been pried open at some point and didn’t fit in the frame and could only be open and closed if you used your shoulder to push it. The toilet was missing bolts and didn’t flush well and there were chunks missing out of the drywall. The nearby ‘project’ type housing caused me concern but my vehicle was unharmed.

The bed was very comfortable and the staff was friendly and professional. Unfortunately the property is extremely dated. One light source in the room, a bedside lamp that was very dim. The bathroom fan is very noisy and again the bathroom was dimly lite. The biggest complaint was the limited number of wall sockets and the fact that anything plugged in would not say in the socket. This is a potential safely hazard!

Unique Spot
Great stay at a unique hotel, older rooms and furniture with some modern amenities. Great little pub, good food and fun locals around.
