«There was an issue at check in regarding our family room whereby the expedia booking info hadn't pulled through correctly to the hotel. I would recommend emailing the hotel after booking to reconfirm everything. The family room was a decent size, although towels were stained and the free mini's were half used. The pool facilities were lovely. The pool was a little chilly, but jacuzzi very nice and warm.»

«Just needs to be better signage directing people where to go to check in. Other than that it was a great experience.»

«Lovely hotel, quiet location. Very helpful staff»

«Aside from a member of staff called Kane who was exceptionally helpful, our experience for a birthday break was beyond disappointing. We initially stayed at the sister property The Swan in Tarporley where staff were outstanding but at The Lion we were greeted in what can only be described as very patronising, unwelcoming and brusque, by who we understand to be Beth. We were shown to a room that was classed as executive but had clearly had a major leak in the bathroom as paint was peeling away ...

«Beautiful room the brilliant evening meal and breakfast»

«bed was lovely and quite firm, which I liked.»

«Perfect location (two minute walk to daughter's house); excellent breakfasts, particularly the porridge; fun pub downstairs, loved a cappella rehearsal.»

«Cooks Flat is a great find in Wrexham! Tranquil, peaceful and beautiful walks on the property. What a treat to stay on a private estate and visit the Victorian kitchen and games room. I appreciated the welcome gifts and hospitality from the hosts too. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.»

«Bra hotell med mye sjarm. Eldre stil å slite rom men godt renhold å det hele har sin sjarm. Kommer tilbake! »

«Fantastisk stort og vakkert slott. Servicen var ikke så god. Staben var for få mennesker og mange var unge og uerfarne. »

«Veldig fornøyd med beliggenhet, rom og frokost! »

«We stayed in this glorious hotel overnight as a family of three plus our dog. We had the most wonderfully warm welcome upon our arrival and this was further enhanced by the rustic charm that this lovely hotel exuded by way of its decor. We adore a vintage aesthetic so its appearance resonated with us immediately. Richard and his wife were fabulous hosts and the continental breakfast that they served to us this morning was very impressive .. warm croissants, toast, cereal and an array of fresh ...

«It's a good place to stay in Chester, especially if you want to visit the zoo, it's about 10 minutes in the car, if you want to walk to the city centre it's only 25 minutes, so it's easy for that too»

«Fint rom og hyggelige medarbeidere. God pris på parkering. Heldigvis hadde vi en liten bil. Trangt parkeringshus»

«Dette er et fantastisk hotell i enden av hovedgaten i Chester. Store flotte rom, nesten som store hybler med alt på rommet. Har tatt vekk matsaler og alt annet. Bare rom, med et lite kjøkken. Det viser på prisen. Mulig for lett frokost. God hjelp i disken 24/7.»

«Flott beliggenhet, nært sentrum.»
