Bra hotell
Bra hotell, fint og sentral beliggenhet, god mat, hyggelig betjening. I tilstøtende bygning et godt utstyrt treningssenter inkludert stort svømmebasseng. Eneste minus: Mat og drikke noe dyrere enn på restauranter i nærområdet.

Helt ok. Litt utenfor sentrum
Det som trakk ned mest på dette hotellet var at jeg hadde arrangert hotell pick-up fra flyplassen. Og etter å ha ventet i 2 timer tok jeg en taxi. Når jeg kom til hotellet måtte jeg krangle med resepsjonisten som fortalte at det hadde vært noen der, men at han hadde fått beskjed om at flyet var kansellert. Jeg hadde sendt alle opplysninger jeg hadde fått fra flyselskapet, både tidspunkt og avreiseby. Eneste var at reisen ble bestilt igjennom Ethiopian Airways - men flyvningen ble operert av Malawian Airlines. Allikevel visste de at jeg kom fra Lilongwe - og det er ikke så mange fly som kommer fra Lilongwe. Jeg slapp heldigvis å betale for pick-upen i og med at jeg allerede hadde betalt for taxi - men skal være unødvendig å må krangle om det i det hele tatt. Selve hotellet var OK. Fin fasade og rene store rom. Dårlig TV forbindelse.

Comfortable hotel & good location
This was my third stay at Colosseum in less than a year. The hotel is ideally located in the Oysterbay area close to some good restaurants and the Msasani peninsula, including Slipway. The fitness centre is the best in town. Off peak traffic hours (morning and eve) it is only ten minutes drive to the city centre. The rooms are clean and spacious. I prefer a room facing the pool to avoid traffic noise from the street. The staff is hospitable and welcoming. The only minuses I experienced this time was the wifi that sometimes did not work, probably because of the powercuts that riddle Dar es Salaam. Fortunately, the hotel has its own power generator. The second minus are the bed pillows: they are too big and too compact/hard: my neck did not enjoy them at all. Next time I will bring my own :-)

Good value for money
This is my second stay at Hotel Colosseum and it delivered as expected. The rooms are nice and spacious, the staff is welcoming and friendly. The large and well equipped fitness centre can be used free of charge for hotel guests. The large swimming pool is a big bonus. Rooms facing the poolside are recommended due to the traffic on the Haile Selassie Avenue. Internet not always reliable. Location is ideal if one works North of the city centre or does not need to go to town during rush hours (which are becoming a nightmare in Dar). Close to Morogoro Stores, Oysterbay and Slipway. In summary, very good value for money.

Having all facilities in one place. The check in time isn't favorable especially when you only have access to early flights. Improve on making sure everything is available in the room. Its absurd that one has to wait till noon to check-in, then when you get to, you have to follow up to get toiletries and still remind them eveyday to avail what was depleted.

Convenient location, decent AC and breakfast. Friendly staff. - Cockroach in the room on two separate occasions. - Very noise outside the room from housekeeping not considering guests. Though they always said hello and smiled. - Noisy. I needed to call down on two occasions as loud people were on the floor close to midnight. No change. - The telephone in the room didn't work. - The sofas in the restaurant smelled very badly of pee. - Someone came into my room even when the do not disturb sign was on to take iron. - Cleaning staff binned two A4 pages of meeting notes that I had kept on the desk in my room during housekeeping. - Run down

This is my favorite hotel to stay in Dar. It is updated, has amazingly powerful, hot showers, great breakfast and a kind staff. Guests of the hotel can use the gym for free which offers incredible facilities and has a steam room and sauna.

Loved the unique restaurant, a blend of Asian and Western complete with Cherry Blossom! Food was perfect. The hotel decor and fittings have a Mediterranean feel to them.

My new go-to hotel in Dar
The gym alone is reason to stay here. The room was nice but could use a comfy couch or love seat. The breakfast was complete as they addressed some of the bad reviews about it. I’ve actually canceled my reservation at my usual hotel and will stay here on my future trips to Dar.

現地に駐在しており、週末ステイで利用しました。今回は、どうしてもサウナに入りたくて宿泊し、サウナはホテルの隣にあるフィットネス棟にあります。スチームサウナでけっこう良かったです。 部屋は、広々としており、それなりに清潔に掃除されています。シャワーはお湯も出るし、Wifiも問題なく使えました。ホテルの1階にレストラン兼クラブのようなものがあり、夜中の3時くらいまで音楽が聞こえてきます。音が気になる方は、滞在は控えたほうがいいかもしれません。

I liked everything. It is a great place to stay and to eat. The staff are friendly and hard-working. My only beef is that several items on the menu are almost never there and you are asked to accept alternatives. This never happened in the past but is becoming an increasingly frequent occurrence.

Excellent Choice!
Overall this is my new favorite hotel in Dar es Salaam! Large, clean, comfortable rooms, good WiFi even in the rooms,which isn’t always the case, very good food with a lot of creative western style options, welcome cocktails at the bar, and friendly service. Espresso maker with free caffe latte at breakfast was a bonus. The pool and gym are both large, but are in the adjoining fitness club building so the hours are restricted. My The one thing I found disappointing was that the pool water is very warm (so not that refreshing) and not the cleanest. The hotel is in a lovely, safe neighborhood outside of downtown Dar.

Gym in the hotel is incredible. It’s a full service gym open to the public as well. Spa service was excellent. Breakfast is not great. Rooms are fine but there was a lot of construction noise all day long.
