Welcome to STARBOARD CHARM! Escape into the cool breezes of this newly remodeled 1 bedroom/1 bathroom condominium that captures the nautical spirit of Dana Point. This beautiful and charming condo is the perfect retreat for a small vacationing family or single couple. It is ideally situated in the quiet, gated community of Monarch Hills in the luxurious Ritz Point area of city of Dana Point.

STARBOARD CHARM is located along the Salt Creek Beach trail, making access to the beach easy, and only a few driving minutes away from the amazing amenities Dana Point has to offer, such as Dana Point Harbor, Dana Point Headlands, The Ocean Institute, shops, and restaurants

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS: The condo sleeps 4 comfortably. Fall asleep and wake up rejuvenated on the king sized bed featuring Westin Hotel sheets and linens. The Italian sleeper sofa offers revitalizing sleep for 2 with its generous Queen memory foam mattress. The bedroom also features a sizable walk in closet to store all your luggage and belongings during your stay.

KITCHEN & DINING: This fully outfitted and beautifully remodeled kitchen offers bright light through the bay window. New cabinets, granite countertops, full sized appliances, and soft close drawers make preparing all your meals easy breezy. The separate dining area adjacent to the kitchen is perfect for entertaining, or hosting a game night, with your friends and family during your stay.

FAMILY ROOM: This spacious and cozy gathering room includes a very comfortable lounging sofa, leather side chair, coffee and end tables, a large flat screen TV, and a gas fireplace. Local stations and other channels are available through HULU Plus. Internet/Wi-Fi service is through Cox Cable. Wi-Fi is password secured and is included.

OUTDOORS: Open all the doors and windows to feel the ocean breezes. There is plenty of seating on the balcony with a set of outdoor patio furniture. The electric grill also makes for additional outdoor cooking fun. The balcony has easy access from both the kitchen and master bedroom, to start your day with a cup of coffee or end your day with a glass of wine. The balcony overlooks the onsite saltwater pool, Jacuzzi, gym/clubhouse, and greenbelt area. There is a full sized washer and dryer located in a closet off of the balcony near the master bedroom. The condo also offers easy to use portable wagon, beach chairs and towels, backpack cooler, and boogie boards for your beach adventures. This vacation hideaway has a single covered parking stall for 1 car, near the 2 sets of stairs to the second story condo.

MANAGEMENT: The site is professionally cleaned and managed. Vacation Concierge is available 24/7 for any questions, issues, or concerns that come up during your stay.

SUITABILITY: This is a non-smoking home. An adult(s) 21 or older must be staying at the condo during the term of the stay. STARBOARD CHARM is located on the 2nd floor of a 3 story building. There are two flights of stairs, no elevator.

LOCATION: Dana Point is a city located in southern Orange County, California. It has one of the few harbors along the Orange County coast, and with ready access via State Route 1 (the famous Pacific Coast Highway or PCH). Dana Point and surrounding communities of Laguna Beach and San Clemente are popular local destinations for sailing, fishing, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, biking, golfing, tennis, and more.

ATTRACTIONS: STARBOARD CHARM is just up the road from the Dana Point Harbor and downtown Dana Point. Located near the north end of Dana Point referred to as Monarch Beach, it is just a short 15-minute drive into the beautiful and artsy famous seaside town of Laguna Beach. It is also within a short 15 minute drive (or a 30 minute bike ride for the more adventurous types) from the historic town of San Juan Capistrano with the Mission San Juan Capistrano, quaint Los Rios District, antique shops, restaurants, and art galleries. There’s even a petting zoo for the smaller members in your family!

The city was named after the headland of Dana Point, which was in turn named after Richard Henry Dana, Jr., author of Two Years Before the Mast, which included a description of the area. Dana described the locale, including neighboring San Juan Capistrano, as "the only romantic spot on the coast.” Although Dana described the anchorage as poor, it is now a developed harbor and contains a replica of his ship, the Pilgrim. The Ocean Institute, located at the harbor, uses the Pilgrim as a classroom.
