I recently stayed four nights at a Quality Inn location and would like to formally document my experience, as several issues during my stay were concerning.
During my time at the property, I observed several maintenance and housekeeping concerns. The comforter on the bed appeared to have stains, the sheets had visible wear and holes, and the refrigerator in the room did not adequately keep food or beverages cold. Additionally, housekeeping items were not consistently replenished, and on some occasions I had to request fresh sheets myself.
At the end of my stay, I was informed by management that two top sheets were allegedly missing from my room. I was surprised by this claim and explained that I had not removed any hotel property from the room. Despite this, a $120 hold was placed on my card for the alleged missing items.
When I returned to the property to discuss the charge—after being invited to do so—I attempted to ask questions about how the items were tracked and how the situation had been determined. Unfortunately, the discussion escalated quickly and I was asked to leave the property. Law enforcement was called and I was escorted out, which was both embarrassing and distressing.
Shortly after leaving, I received a call from a front desk employee informing me that the $120 hold would be returned to my card.
While I appreciate that the charge was ultimately reversed, the entire experience was upsetting. Being accused of taking hotel property without clear evidence
