I chose this hotel for several reasons. One is because it was 10 minutes away from Summit Racing Equipment which was the reason we were traveling here from Houston. The second reason is because we were traveling with our two young adult children, and both of them have a Frenchie and the hotel advertises that it is pet friendly. I personally have never traveled with pets before so I wasn’t aware of the additional charge per pet. It wasn’t mentioned during booking. The day prior to us traveling, I received a text message from La Quinta by Wyndham to do a pre-check-in to save time at the desk. I thought that was great so I took a break from work to get this done. It was here that I was told it was $75 additional charge for each pet. Because our room was a nonrefundable rate, I was forced to pay it. I think it should have been mentioned during booking that there was an additional charge for pets. I’m sure this is probably common for all pet friendly hotels, but like I said, I have never traveled with pets before so I think I should’ve been made aware of this at booking. I uploaded a picture of my drivers license and gave all of my truck information so that I wouldn’t have to do any of this during check-in. We happened to arrive about an hour and a half early and after being on the road with two small dogs, we were ready for some space.
