Fremragende
Skal man først reise til Dakar er Terrou-BI det beste valg for overnatting/rekreasjon. Fremragende hotell med alle fascilliteter. Familievennlig, privat strand, ypperlig kjøkken, sikkerhet og service i høysetet. Severdigheter utenfor hotellet er svært begrenset. Råd: La hotellet ordne organisert transport til/fra flyplass. Ikke ta imot tilbud om privat taxi. Alvorlig kriminalitet er lav i Dakar, men småsvindlere finnes over alt.

Senegal first time
Have stayed in two different rooms room 415 nice comfortable room but no view outside seating area is awful. So decided to upgrade to a sea view 316 unfortunately on the ground floor asked to have an elevated room was denied. View is limited but nice to have some sunlight unlike the previous room. However room is dated not as nice as the last room, so unfortunately you don’t get the best of both worlds. It’s rather a slight view or a nicer room. WiFi is in and out, restaurant and pool lovely! Gym very hot but nicely laid out.

I have been visiting Senegal for 40 years staying in a variety of hotels. Terrou bi is one of the better ones and on my next trip to Senegal it is likely I will stay at the Terrou bi as it safe, good service and convenient for my needs.

The hotel pool and private beach truly are a peaceful haven in this busy, dusty city. The hotel feels like it needs a manager with a bit more of an oversight. Little things like the four clocks behind the reception desk all showing wrong times and some not working at all. When I called to check about check in, the call was cut off 3 times when no one answered. But all is forgiven when you are drinking a piña colada poolside. I had the ribeye at the outdoor restaurant it was fantastic!

I would’ve given more stars but there are problems within the hotel. I was shocked when the power went out in the hotel. It was a brief moment that happened two times. I was shocked because we pay so much to stay there. The breakfast selection is very small. My husband and I signed up for an excursion. It was a waste of money!!we signed up for Goree, it was 50,000 per person. It didn’t include lunch. It was such a scam. I could’ve paid 15,000 for the whole trip. That would’ve included taxi ride, the ticket for the boat. Please be careful when booking an excursion. You definitely can do it a lot cheaper than what they are offering and the brochure for the excursions is very deceptive. They made it seem as if they provided a meal or other things but in reality those you have to pay for yourself. On a positive note, I did love the pool and the beach. They were so clean and not too many people. Overall, I hope that they do better and not continue to scam tourists with the excursions. I don’t think I’ll stay at Terrou Bi again. I’ll come back for the pool and beach, that’s it.

Non-existent and illegal "taxe de séjour".
The front desk workers can be silly trying to get money from guests with stupid so-called tax de séjour. It’s not a real thing and it’s not much. It’s the idea of it that bugs me. I am a natural "tipper". So, I have no problems recognizing good service with good tips. But, I absolutely hate bs charges. I will not stay there again.

Hôtel à Fuir
Déjà on commence avec une Chambre vue Jardin on nous donne une Chambre vue Parking très bruyant sachant qu’il y’a du passage. Ensuite on me vole 200€ dans mon porte-feuille on se plains à la réception il ne font pas grand chose pour nous aidés sachant que l’on a vue 2 personnes sortir de notre chambre d’hôtel sans faire le ménage. Ils ont bien vue dans les caméras sortir de notre chambre malgré ça aucun remboursement ne seras effectué on doit attendre l’enquête. Donc venir dans un hôtel 5 étoiles pour se faire voler je trouve ça inadmissible et le service derrière pour nous aider ne suit pas

Le lieu est magnifique , surtout la plage et la piscine. Le staff sympa en général surtout au petit dejeuner et restaurant. par contre l acceuil a la reception / check in n est pas a la hauteur. Les filles machent le chewing gum, ne te regardent a peine et n expliquent rien sur les services de l hotel. si tu arrives avant 15h il te disent d attendre mais sans te proposer d aller dejeuner ou de profiter de la plage. en gros tu te debrouille. cest dommage de ne pas donner le sentiment au client quil est le bienvenu.

THE terrou bi was so wonderful i enjoyed my stay for almost 10 days with the kids playing in the pool and me enjoying the private beach. I really recommend this hotel

Our stay was otherwise pleasant, however I note that the staff failed multiple times to complete a very simple request for a themed decoration of my room, due to miscommunication on their part. I do commend staff member Malal who was very professional in describing what happened, and offering to make it up.

Great location. Beach and pool are very nice. Food is good quality and the service is good (in comparison to regional standards). As a result you pay higher prices for food there than elsewhere, but that’s to be expected at one of the country’s top/most elite hotels. One thing they didn’t address was that my safe wasn’t working properly. It wasn’t fixed and there was no follow up. They should also look at their humidity control system. I found the bedding slightly damp but it wasn’t a game changer.

The property is not five star but it is ver nice and the beach was highly accessible. The food was excellent. The matress was just too hard for my comfort. You must rewuest wash/face cloth. The staff speak english and french.
