Friendly...old and run down.
I stayed here as I wanted to be in the city centre but within reach of the airport but most of all I wanted a good swimming pool. I needed 3 rooms for one night. It is a very grubby old run down hotel...a bit like an old style 'travelling sales persons' hotel. Not dissimilar to the run down motels in old American movies. But...the staff are lovely friendly and helpful..the pool is great. The beds are clean but very old and basic. It needs a lot of love and investment. Having said that it's a nice change from the a too common identikit business hotels springing up everywhere. But...it is what it is.

Basic Room
Check in and out is very fast. The size of the room is very good, but it is very basic and a bit old. The room is a little bit dark. There is no power outlet in the room, so you must unplug the refrigerator, table light to plug in. My room has a double bed and a single bed. There is no refrigerator in the room. The Wi-Fi is so bad.

房間大小適中,廁所有浴缸,每天打掃清潔度還可以,地理位置尚可離市中心不遠,飯店內有餐廳,但附近餐廳較少,房間內沒有冰箱及熱水壺較不方便,房間內電視是新款液晶電視,跟網站上照片傳統電視不一樣,感覺好很多. 本次住宿沒有餐廳享用早餐,但朋友住過說這邊的早餐很不錯!

Simple & nice
I would like to recommend Hotel Faidherbe to the young guys who have limited ressources as they travel to Dakar. This is a normal hotel with clean room, pool and located in the center of the city.

Bon rapport qualité prix
Très central établissement bien tenu qui offre un bon rapport qualité prix. Même si une petite rénovation serait la bienvenue les chambres sont spacieuses et calmes.

Hotel bem simples mas em boa localização
Hotel simples porém está situado proximo à estaçao de trem, à estaçao marítima e a facilidades como lojas de conveniência e supermercados. Os funcionários limitam-se ao atendimento básico. Elevador único e pequeno para movimentaçao intensa do estabelecimento, causando congestionamento para utilizaçao em horários de pico. Nao possui cofre nos apartamentos, nem frigobar, necessidades essenciais na cidade de Dakar. Vale somente pelo custo e localização.

Nice hotel Close to Market and very accecible .
The service and staff were ok. The bathroom sink( focet) had an issue. The AC had an issue as well but the maintenance took care of it. My overall experience was ok. I liked where the hotel was located, it was easily accessible .

Absolutely disgraceful, it is not 3 stars worthy.
It was a run down hotel: dirty brown sheets, dirty blue shower towers, water was dark brown a few times, elevator stopped working a few times. I was absolutely disappointed. It was a horrible experience and this should not be advertised as a 3 stars hotel. The cleaning crew didn't even knock on the door. They would just open the doo and catch you in awe.

Okay hotel i centrum
Ganske udmærket hotel med fine faciliteter, det hele til en rigtig fornuftig pris. Jeg har benyttet hotellet flere gange og kommer gerne igen.

Decent hotel in Dakar
The hotel was fairly clean but the shower leaked terribly. Also, room was very dark as well as lobby. Staff was very nice. Very quiet.

町中のホテル
青いタオルをお湯浸した後、しぼると青いお湯が出て来ました。ん〜⁇ シャワールームに液体石けんしかなく、不自由しました。

Good value for money.
I stayed at Hotel Faidherbe for 4 nights in April of '14. The staff was helpful, and facilities were decent. The area was nice to walk around. Nothing fancy, but good value for money.

街中やあちこちに出掛けやすい
設備は古いものの、スタッフはとても親切で気持ち良い。ホテル滞在でのんびり過ごしたい人には向いていないが、ロケーションが良いので、出掛けるには便利。インターネットは少々遅い。朝食はバラエティはないが、美味しいよ。

Its okay, but not really what I expected to see
Pictures I had seen convinced me to stay even, but the hotel is more dated than is made to look. Its clean, but its old. Good thing at least is that they are flexible with reservations. I arrived late so there was no food anywhere, but they were hospitable enough to help me find something in the middle of the night. Staff were helpful for the most part, the issue is the with the age of the building. Its clean, but old. A little bit of modernisation will help greatly. Internet speed was impressive.

Fantastic Staff
I had a very enjoyable stay I thought the staff very helpful and wanting to make my stay enjoyable. The room was clean if a little basic I managed to arrive with no washing material expecting there would be some in the room, unfortunately there wasn't . I think I was the only Brit in the hotel so found the only english speaking channel to be CNN on the TV a little frustrating.But overall a very pleasant time. The local banks didn't seem to have ATMs so it was a 15 minute walk to the only bank which did, near the centre.

Calme et confortable. La chambre dispose de rangements et de grands miroirs. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est diversifié (toutefois les croissants et pain au chocolat sont trop gras...) L'hôtel se situe à cinq minutes à pieds du port ce qui est idéal pour se rendre à Gorée en évitant les embouteillages.

Nice Hotel and Conveniently Located
I stayed in this hotel for more than one week and I enjoyed every moment of it. The rooms are constantly kept clean, the staffs are very nice and helpful, and the restaurant clean and comfortable. I will certainly lodge here the next time I visit Dakar. Don't forget to tip the staff, it raises their morals and you will find that they really deserve it.

Habitué de cet hôtel, ce séjour j'ai été obligé de le quitter au bout 7 jours alors que ma réservation était de 25 nuits. Les sanitaires et douche ont beaucoup de mal à fonctionner car il y a trés peu de pression d'eau. J'étais en chambre au 6eme étage. Climatiseur trop faible par rapport aux températures extérieures et surface à refroidir. 7 jours passés, pas d'internet disponible. La carte restaurant n'est pas à jour et beaucoup de plats ne sont pas toujours disponibles. En bref un grand déclin et le directeur ne tient pas compte de nos réflexions. Une sérieuse mise au point est à voir avec cet hôtel pour des séjours de durée à proscrire. Je n'y retournerai plus. De plus le directeur de l'hôtel s'est quand même fait payer les 25 nuits alors que je n'y suis resté que 7 jours l'ayant quitté pour le non respect des clauses de vente
