Known as The View at Lake Martin located in Dadeville, Alabama.

The View offers the ultimate family and friends getaway for football weekends. This three-story home offers a spectacular view of Lake Martin and is right on the water. The 2,400 sq. ft. home sits on 2 acres of land with plenty of green space for play along the water, a private dock with multiple cleats for mooring, and its own private boat ramp. This updated rental is only 4.5 miles from Still Waters Golf Course and a short boat ride to Chimney Rock, Harbor Point Marina, The Cove Restaurant, and Chuck's Marina. The home is only a 30-minute drive away for Auburn, so it is the perfect location for football fans.

The ground floor is comprised of the master bedroom and an additional bedroom and a full bathroom. The first bedroom features two twin beds (trundle style). The second bedroom is a spacious master bedroom with a queen bed. It boasts plenty of storage space for clothing and suitcases. The ground floor gives way to a spacious outdoor area with full seating and views of the lake under ceiling fans giving direct access to the grill, dock, and plentiful green space for family activities like football, frisbee, and horseshoes.

The second level is the gathering place in this unique home. It features all wood flooring and a wall of windows across the entire lakefront of the home. Encompassing the living, dining, and kitchen area it features modern style cabinets, granite countertops, and all stainless-steel appliances. The galley style kitchen boasts a view of the lake in all directions. The living area also looks over the lake and features a television, reading area, and a ½ bath. The living area and kitchen connect to a 2nd-floor outdoor patio with rockers and fans for warmer days.

The third level features two spacious bedrooms with 2 queen beds in each done. One of these bedrooms has a full bath and double walk-in shower.

The property is located on the Blue Creek arm of Lake Martin approximately four miles past Stillwaters Resort off of County Road 34. Auburn is only 30 min away. Birmingham and Atlanta just under 2 hours away.

  • Tuskegee University, one of the largest historically black universities in the United States, is a private university located in Tuskegee, Alabama. It was founded by Lewis Adams, a former slave, and George W. Campbell, a former slave owner. Adams asked that an educational institution for blacks be established. After Foster won the election, $2,000 (per year) was allocated from the state general budget for such a school to be located in Macon County. Beautiful view from this place. We came in 2020 and fell in love with this place. Rebook every year near or anniversary. Family loves it. Plenty of parking space, private boat ramp, place to park our boat. Lake is great there for swimming, too.

Great Family Location

Our immediate family (children and grandchildren) came to Alabama for the 4th of July. We wanted a place with plenty of room to accomodate 7 adults and 2 children - The View was perfect for us! Nice big kitchen with a table we could all fit around for dinner. The porch was the best part, we drank coffee and ate lunch on the porch everyday. The swimming area was great, we spent half our time in the water. Marina to rent a pontoon boat was close and added to our fun. This is an area of Lake Martin I had not been to but I think it is my favorite! The name, The View, is a perfect description of this wonderful family cabin. We would love to go back sometime!

Great place

It’s was a great place . It was quiet and had a beautiful view. Boating dock and boat ramp was very helpful. We had a Family of 14 and had plenty of room. Only reason have 4 star on cleaning was few bugs in window seals and spider webs on back porch. We would stay again with no hesitation. The owner was very helpful with any questions I had and Thank them for allowing us to stay at their place . Hope to have many more vacation there.

Family time

The cabin can stand to be cleaned better than it was. There is a leak upstairs in the bedroom that needs fixing. Bugs needs cleaning out of all windows and the windows can be cleaned out as well. I’ve machine broken and nasty. Front porch needs wiping. Patio needs cleaning and spraying for bugs. This wasn’t my family first time staying here so we was looking for it to be cleaned much better. Cheap dish washing liquid. Hoping to see better next year.
