Welcome to Cozy in the Cove!

Our property has water ALL YEAR ROUND! And we are 10 minutes from Rock the South venue!

We are excited to share our home away from home with you . Most of our guest are friends and neighbors.

Private double decker dock, located in a quiet culdesac with breathtaking lake views!
Bring your own boat for the ultimate family getaway, girl's trip, or men's retreat!

Safely swim in the quiet cove, or enjoy the use of 1 paddleboard and 2 kayaks provided. Life vests available as well!
We have provided guests with a starter pack of complimentary Keurig cups, dish soap, hand soap, one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, and 2 garbage bags. You will find a basket filled with s'mores for your pleasure to use at the fire pit. One bundle of complimentary firewood is also provided by the shed. We have a propane grill (propane included) and a charcoal grill (bring charcoal).

The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, toaster, coffee pot, Keurig, crockpot, dishwasher, oven, and fridge.
Our dining table seats 7, however you can locate a table leaf in the mudroom and more chairs in the living room if needed for seating for up to 10 guests. There are plenty of dishes for everyone.
There is also a screened in porch- perfect for morning coffee or evening beverages while taking in the lake view.
We also have a gas grill with grilling tongs and other supplies for the perfect lakeside meal! Whether you decide to eat inside, around the fire, or on dock, there is plenty of room for everyone!
On the upper level of the dock, there is a table with seating for 6, and a couch and 3 lounge chairs.
On the lower level of the dock, there are 2 Adirondack chairs. Enjoy watching your kids swim, or cast a line and relax while you wait for a bite.

For sleeping arrangements- the primary bedroom has a queen bed with a private full bathroom. The second bedroom also has a queen bed. The third bedroom has a Twin size Daybed, with a Twin size trundle that can be moved within the room, and also a Queen bunk bed with a Twin on top. The Third bedroom can sleep 5 total. There is also an optional air mattress if you happen to have a few extra kiddos with you.

The second and third bedroom has access to the hallway full bathroom with the tub/shower combo.
There is also a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets provided.

Cozy in the Cove is right off Dodge City Exit where there are restaurants , a grocery store, Ace Hardware, and gas stations. We are located 10 miles to the infamous historic downtown Warehouse, where you can shop in the quaintest boutiques, antique malls, and the most delicious food around. We are also 10 minutes away from the biggest event around: Rock the South. Book Now for amazing rates!

Loved the house, dock, and location on the lake. The house is only about 15 minutes from Cullman, makes it great to enjoy the lake and still have the convenience of a city near by. Property owner was extremely helpful with any questions we had.

Fun Stay

Cozy in the cove was a great place for our family. It had plenty of room for the 5 of us. The dock was a lot of fun for our kids! We also loved being close to Dodge City & Cullman. The only suggestion I would make is to update your listing pictures and make sure people know that the boat slip is unavailable.

Cozy Cove

We had a wonderful visit! Had 4 young kids, they loved swimming off the dock, kayaking, and fishing. We rented a boat and kept it on the dock. We used the grill every night and even though it was 95 degrees we used the fire pit and had smores one night, the kids also enjoyed the disc golf that is set up in the grill area. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this place.

Relaxing space

We had such a wonderful time at Cozy in the cove. The house was very nice and beds were very comfortable. We loved all the outdoor seating and the views were amazing. We floated in the tubes that were provided.

Labor Day Weekend

We made the trip to Cozy in the Cove over Labor Day weekend with 4 adults and 5 kids. The house interior is surprisingly spacious with that many people and was very clean. The outdoor area was nice by the fire pit, we enjoyed the free firewood and s’mores supplies. We were able to cook out on the grill and the kids enjoyed the frisbee golf setup. The dock was great and we were able to rent a pontoon boat with the help of Angela. The stairs down are a bit dicey and can use some repair, but did not impact us at all. The house is convenient to shops and gas stations. On the boat, it was a nice 20-25 minute ride out to Trident Marina for lunch. Long winded way of saying we had a great time at the house and would come back again in the future.

Lovely weekend

We really enjoyed our stay! The property was very clean and we loved the layout of the house. There are a decent amount of stairs to the water but that is to be expected and the amazing dock made it well worth it! :) we enjoyed the fire pit and smores! Would recommend!

Lovely Stay

Fun weekend at the lake

Perfect lake weekend getaway for us and our friends (4 adults / 5 kids ages 4-8). Everyone enjoyed adventuring in the kayaks & paddle board, fishing off the pier and playing in the water. Having a gas and charcoal grill were helpful for cooking. The firepit was a special touch to enjoy while the kids played hide and seek and swung on the hammock. Location was fairly close to town (about 20 minutes), so running to Walmart for groceries was convenient. Communication with the host was fast and helpful. We would book again!

Exceedingly Cozy

Our church group had a wonderful stay at Cozy with a View. It was the perfect setting for a girl's getaway - plenty of dishes, wine glasses, cooking utensils, etc to get through our stay. Even though there were nine of us, it didn't feel cramped - there was plenty of room to spread out. The couch was particularly comfy. We also enjoyed spending time on the covered patio, dock, and utilizing the kayaks and paddle board. The host was very communicative and quick to respond to any questions. Would definitely come back!

Perfect Getaway

We were looking for a quick getaway on the Lewis Smith Lake and found the perfect one in Cozy in the Cove. It had everything we need for a nice relaxing time with plenty for the kids to enjoy. The house was clean and fit everyone comfortably. The dock was perfect for everyone to hang out and go back and forth between the water and just string out enjoying the sun. The kids had a blast with the kayaks and the paddle board. The firepit area was perfect to enjoy the nice cool evenings. We got exactly what we were looking for.

Great family getaway!

Our family of five (ages 23 to 53) had an amazing end-of-summer weekend at Cozy in the Cove. Angela was quick to respond to questions prior to booking, helped direct us to a boat rental, and was agreeable to our request for a late checkout which meant two full days on the lake. The house has a great layout, multiple seating areas, and large rooms with updated decor and bathrooms. The sheets and towels were pristine and everyone said their bed was comfortable. The top of the double-decker dock has a great view and the table up there was a perfect place to watch the sunset and play a game before dinner. The next day was a scorcher so we were glad to have the boat. We toured the lake, jumped off the rocks/cliffs, and stopped in shaded coves to float. Our long hot day ended with everyone showering, eating dinner, and watching football. There was plenty of space and seating in the living room for five of us to spread out and lounge. When I woke up at 7am on Sunday it was only 71 degrees. I kayaked for an hour and only saw a beaver and a crane - no boats or jet skis. It was a great way to start the day. We enjoyed breakfast on the screened porch - my favorite spot in the house - before going back to the dock to swim, sun, paddle-board, and relax before heading back home. Cozy in the Cove had everything we were looking for in a rental - the room we needed, cleanliness, amenities, and an easy-to find location with great water access. We will definitely be back.

House was clean. After a long day of sking on the water it was nice to come back to a clean nice house and cook,eat and get cleaned up and watch movies. Kids really enjoyed the dock also.

We loved our stay at Cozy in the Cove! The owners were very accommodating and allowed us to have an early check-in! We esp loved the two tier dock. Beds were comfortable and the large living room, dinning area, sitting room, and screened porch allowed plenty of room to spread out. Would stay again!!

The owner, Angela, and her lake home, were WONDERFUL!

I could not have asked for a kinder owner to work with during this trip. Angela's communications were timely and helpful. Her lake home was perfect for our family. It was updated, clean, and the lake views are gorgeous. We will stay here again if given the opportunity to return to Cullman, AL and Smith Lake. Don't look any further - book now! You'll be glad you did!
