I can’t speak for every room in the motel, so this is my opinion of mine. First, the good:
- bed sheets and towels were clean
- overall room was clean
- a/c worked perfectly
- room/area was quiet all day and night
- water was hot
- room included a small fridge and freezer and microwave
- nice size tv with cable
- Parking was easy, plenty of it available
- great location, close to everything
Now the bad:
- stained boxspring is visible
- bathroom door handle was falling off, didn’t latch shut and the door looked like it was used as a shield in a war
- no desk and chair to sit at for working or catching a bite to eat
Conclusion: This motel is pretty trashy, but there is room/need in the world for places like this. At $100 a night on the weekend, it’s affordable. If it were my place, I would definitely hire myself a handyman to fix/update a lot of stuff. If you’re the type of person who is too uppity to stay in a one star motel, then definitely don’t go here. Otherwise it met most of my needs for a two day trip that just required a place to sleep, shower, and relax.
