«Our room was very well decorated -- more creative and tasteful than most hotel rooms. Our particular room did not smell good, though. Hopefully, it was an isolated problem. Room for improvement: I think they should include valet parking in the price of the room. Free parking is included, but it is down the street on the other side of the road from the hotel. As a customer, it would "feel" a whole lot better not to be caught off guard by that.»

«TV system was terrible….. TV wouldn’t work properly for most of our stay…. The tv in the bedroom area rarely worked and the channels were not the same as the one in the sitting area when it did function properly. Staff admitted there were problems but did not know how to help….. some channels were not available on the tv in the bedroom. TVs were out dated.»

«Very clean. All the amenities one might need and having a kitchenette was helpful. I have mobility issues and everyone on the staff was incredibly helpful.
There are a couple tips I would like to leave. For others with mobility issues, the trek to the beach was arduous. I found easy access to the beach on 3rd Street in Emerald Isle which is not far away. There’s parking, a ramp, and a very short walk with no steps.
And for the owners of Beacon, I would suggest leaving instructions for the air ...

«It’s nostalgic to me as we went there when I was a child and later took my kids there when they were small. The place looks almost exactly like it did 25 years ago. Some extra wood nailed in here and there to make it safe to walk. Lots of areas where one could easily trip.
One problem; they said they were no longer dealing with Expedia and charged me extra for taxes they say Expedia didn’t collect. I want to look into this because it seems “fishy” to me.»
