The Space:
A hotel-style King room at the Lodge at Mountaineer Square — the jewel of the Crested Butte base area — with a standout, spa-like bathroom and ski-in/out access.
➔ The Room: A comfortable King bed (guests call it super comfy), with mountain views and an in-unit washer/dryer.
➔ The Spa Bath: The highlight — a large soaking tub with a view.
➔ Essentials: A mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker.
➔ Building: Heated pool and hot tub (year-round), sauna, fitness center, heated garage, and an on-site coffee shop.
+ A spa-like soaking tub with a view, plus in-unit laundry — rare for a base-area room
+ Ski-in/out — one minute to the resort, three to the lift
+ Heated pool, hot tub, sauna & gym, plus a coffee shop in the building
– It's a hotel-style room (sleeps 2) with a mini fridge and microwave, not a full kitchen
– Garage parking is a building charge of $30/night (one space), paid on-site — not a Traverse fee
Guest Access:
Self check-in with a door code — arrive on your own schedule. Your stay includes full access to the Lodge at Mountaineer Square's heated pool, hot tub, sauna, and fitness center, plus base-area ski storage with our partner Butte & Co and an on-site coffee shop. Covered garage parking is available in the building (a $30/night building charge for one space, paid on-site), with EV charging in the garage.
The Neighborhood:
You're at the heart of the Crested Butte base area — ski-in/out, one minute to the resort and a three-minute walk to the lift, surrounded by the base-area shops and restaurants. Historic downtown Crested Butte — Elk Avenue's galleries, breweries, and dining — is 6 minutes away by car or the free shuttle. Summer brings some of Colorado's best hiking, with major trailheads 6 minutes out.
Getting Around:
You're ski-in/out at the base, so you can leave the car parked all weekend — covered garage parking is available in the building ($30/night for one space, paid on-site, with EV charging in the garage). A free shuttle runs to downtown Crested Butte, and the lift is a 3-minute walk.
Other Things to Note:
• Colorado STR License #304814.
• Garage parking is a building charge of $30/night for one covered space per reservation, paid on-site to the building — it is not a Traverse fee, and only applies if you choose to park.
• The building (pool, hot tub, sauna, gym, garage) is operated by a separate management company; the amenities are well maintained, but their hours/upkeep are set by the building and they may close without notice.
• For the emergency contact / local representative, see the Town of Mt. Crested Butte website's Short-Term Rental page.
• Housekeeping is Airbnb-style, not daily hotel service. A mid-stay turnover can be arranged with 24 hours' notice for an added cost.
Interaction with Guests:
We're quick to respond by message and run a virtual concierge with deep local knowledge — trail picks, dinner reservations, lift questions, anything. You'll get check-in details and a digital guidebook before arrival, and we're a text away during your stay. There's an on-site coffee shop in the building if you need a quick fix.
