We stayed two weeks at Majestic Mirage and, while the property has potential, it currently does not meet five-star expectations. First impressions were underwhelming, including long waits at check-in, limited communication, and inconsistent service standards. The most noticeable issue was workmanship — despite being marketed as new, there were paint splatters, unfinished grout, cracked tiles, uneven wooden walkways, and repeated repairs during our stay, giving the resort an unfinished feel.
Our oceanfront suite had a beautiful view but several functional issues, including a poorly graded shower that flooded the bathroom floor, inconsistent housekeeping, a musty smell, and minibar refills requiring repeated follow-up. Butler service was friendly but limited, and no replacement was provided on days off.
Dining was inconsistent: some dishes were enjoyable, but portions were small, menus were only via QR code, and basic items were difficult to obtain. Premium liquor options were limited. Beach chairs were difficult to secure even at lower occupancy, policies were inconsistently enforced, and communication around loud events impacting guests was lacking.
While the setting and some staff interactions were positive, improvements in construction quality, communication, and service consistency are needed to align with a true luxury experience.
