"Rincon" is Poolside and Across the Street from the Beach!

Rincon is located at one of North Padre Island's newest resorts, Padre Beach View. This resort is located across the street from Whitecap beach. Rincon is a corner unit and is one of only 5 units on the pool.

The first floor is an open concept living room, dining area and kitchen with oversized granite island. Half bath on first floor. Full size washer and dryer on first floor. All 3 bedrooms are located upstairs along with a loft area. Master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and a balcony that has an AMAZING view of the beach. One guest bedroom also has a balcony that overlooks the pool. There is a TV in every bedroom, in the loft area and in the living room. Cable and wifi are provided. There is an L shaped patio outside that wraps around the unit. One side of the patio faces the pool. There are 2 picnic tables and plenty of chairs on the patio.

The large salt water communal pool is heated during the winter. One side of the pool is a shallow shelf so the kids or adults can lounge in the water. Sit in the shade at one of the picnic tables or in a chair around the pool deck. Charcoal bar b que pits are available around the pool area. The beach is right across the street, an easy walk. This unit has 2 reserved parking spaces.

We were excited for this stay—especially since it was meant to be the celebration marking our engagement—but unfortunately our experience fell short in several areas.A number of basic amenities were lacking. We were only provided 4 rolls of toilet paper for the entire stay(there was 5 of us for a week), the kitchen had only 3 forks, and although the listing advertised two picnic tables, there was only one available. Several rusty folding chairs limited our outdoor seating options as well.Cleanliness and maintenance were also concerns. We encountered 7 roaches during our stay, there was broken glass in one of the doors, and we had to sort through about 10 different remotes, which made using the electronics confusing. The clocks throughout the house were set to the wrong time, including one above the kitchen sink with dead batteries. The pool was cold, and the jets didn’t seem to work.Because of the roach situation, the last two nights everyone ended up sleeping with their lights on, which wasn’t the ending we hoped for—especially during what was supposed to be a special celebration of our engagement.That said, we truly loved the layout and the location of the property. We decided to not contact the host about these issues as we are not the type to look for refunds. If the cleanliness and maintenance issues were addressed, we would absolutely consider coming back.

We had a few minor issues, and when we contacted the host, they were very responsive. The unit is literally right next to the pool, and the noise woke us up one evening. But if you have small children and want to be close to the pool, this is the spot. You need to provide your own pool towels; this isn't disclosed on the website, but luckily, we brought some. This is a nice unit, just needs a deep cleaning. We did not cook in the unit, so I can't comment on the Kitchen. We were able to walk to the beach each night, a beach access sidewalk is 500 feet away.

Great property next to the pool. It has a large balcony overlooking the pool as well as large porch by the pool. Full kitchen with everything thing you need to cook meals. Host were quick to respond to any questions. My family had a great experience.

Great condo!

This condo was the perfect size for our family of 5. I love that there are 2 full baths and a half bath on the 1st floor. The property was very clean. This property is also nice because it is next to the pool and the patio area is larger than the other units. The master balcony still faces the ocean which is awesome and the 2nd bedroom has a larger balcony overlooking the pool but still has an ocean view. The property managers were very easy to get a hold of. We will definitely stay here again!

Spring Break 2025

We had a great spring break with the use of the heated pool and close access to beaches. We were able to visit great places like the Texas State Aquarium, USS Lexington, and Port Aransas. Kitchen was stocked with appropriate items to cook all our meals and we used the grill in the pool area for many meals. My kids want to visit again soon!

Loved Rincon!

Rincon was an amazing Spring Break retreat! A solid visit again! note: when we checked in we noted 2 items:1: one of the light bulbs above the dining room table was burned out. 2: the doors facing the pool (right side facing the pool towards the bottom on the outside had a crack in the glass)These items were like this when we arrived and wanted to bring to your attention. Wonderful cisit and location! A solid 10 out of 10!

Great space

We enjoyed our stay at Rincon; the space is nice and actually had enough seating for our group of 8 (so many listings say they can sleep a lot of people and then only have seating for half that number!). The proximity to the beach is great; we chose to take our car on the beach and we had several options within a 2 minute drive, as well as a public parking lot a block or so away. The light on the stairs was burnt out and Randy was very prompt in coming to fix it. We would stay here again!

Memorial Day Last Minute Vacation

The location of this property was fabulous! The linens and towels were are all clean and fresh. The only negative I have is that it needs a good cleaning (floors/furniture). That being said, I would definitely recommend this place. The pool is right out the backdoor and the beach out the other.

You’re paying for the view

The only thing we enjoyed about this place was the view! Easy access to beach and pool. The view from the balcony was great. However it needs major upgrades. Deep cleaning. New furniture. Had issues with tvs and controllers. The beds were extremely noisey. The futon is useless if you plan to use it to sleep. When we arrived the kitchen counters were sticky and there was trash behind toilets and under the beds.

The description of the property "Rincon" is not a true description. Description of location not totally correct. Yes, it is across from the beach, however, you could not reach the beach directly. The street is very busy with constant traffic noise. In order to reach the beach it would be very difficult to walk & carry your beach accessories. A motorized vehicle is required. Secondly, rules for the use of the pool are not enforced. For 2 nights of our stay, our family was unable to sleep due to partying in the pool & surrounding area till 1:30am. The 2nd night a complaint was made to management. Shower soap, Kleenex, dish soap (limited), hand soap was also limited. Rental cost I feel is too expensive. Upon our return home my husband lost his ring & we placed several calls to management & received no return call. On several occasions we attempted to watch TV, however, we found it difficult to operate. Very frustrating. If you want a place to relax & enjoy the sounds of the waves this is NOT the property to rent.

Great location

Great end unit condo with two balconies providing gulf views plus a balcony and patio overlooking the heated pool and pool area with shower, bathroom, picnic tables and three charcoal grills built in for community use. A few small issues were quickly corrected by the management and owner. 👍

Needs some updating

No sharp knives. Felt kitchen was not very stocked for those of us who want to cook. Need 2 bath towels/person if only adults. Provide a Weber. The grills around pool really sucked.

Great 3 bedroom!!

We had such a great time and the condo was perfect! It felt like the pool was in our backyard, super convenient to just walk out the back door to jump in. A condo that actually looks as nice in person as it does in the photos!!
