Steps to the Beach 4 Bedroom Home at Crown Point

Welcome to Steps to the Beach by KEES Vacations!

There have been lots of upgrades to this four-bedroom home including all new flooring, new furnishings/TVs, remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, and interior/exterior painting. As the name of the house suggests, this four-bedroom home is only 30 steps to the beach access!

Steps to the Beach is located in the Crown Point community. Staying in this community allows the use of the private community pool, tennis courts/pickleball courts, and three accesses to the wonderfully wide beaches of Corolla. You will be close to shopping at Monterey Plaza and Timbuck II shopping centers, dining, and entertainment. If history is your interest, it is a short driving distance to the historic Whalehead Club as well as the Currituck Lighthouse. The golfers of the group can enjoy the stunning course at the Currituck Club. If you own a 4x4 vehicle, you can drive a little north and get on the 4x4 beach in hopes of getting a glimpse of the magnificent wild mustangs that roam up there. No 4x4? No worries! Reserve yourself a spot on the wild horse tour.

The second level of the house offers a King En Suite, as well as a Queen bedroom, Twin-bunk and Pyramid bunk set bedroom with a shared Full Bathroom. This level also includes a large hot tub and hammock outside on the deck where you can relax while listening to the sounds of the ocean and feel the salty breezes on your skin.

On the third level, you will find a remodeled kitchen, dining area, living room, and half bathroom. The living room contains a fireplace for a cozy experience during the off-season. Or hang out in the comfort of the Carolina Room which also contains a queen sleeper sofa. Picture yourself in this bright room reading your favorite novel or having private conversations with your friends and family while enjoying ocean views. This level also includes another King En Suite for those who might wake up early and want to grab that cup of coffee without disturbing others.

Outside sits the unheated private pool where you and your family and friends can relax and soak up some rays. Rinse off in the outdoor shower. For the basketball-loving people in your group, there is a basketball goal in the driveway.

This lovely vacation rental is perfect for your whole family.

**Private unheated pools will open on April 16th and close on October 1st. Hot Tubs are available year-round. Pools and hot tubs are cleaned weekly and no later than 6pm on check-in day. Vendors are subject to enter backyard to clean the pool and/or spa on scheduled cleaning days. No pets allowed in pools.**

Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.
Check-Out is 10am.

So close to the beach!

Location and house as described. 2 min walk to the ocean. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Clean, nicely furnished, open upper level floor plan. Grocery store 2 min drive. Communication w/ rental agency very good, no issues. Kitchen lacking in basics like salt/pepper. But kitchenware items adequate.

Great property!

Its not often a rental house is closer to the beach than you expected! Also, credit to the management company, as 1 day into our stay the wifi unit went out (wouldnt even power up) . I sent a text, got a quick response, and 24 hours later the unit was replaced with a new working one. Highly recommend this property!

Awesome last-minute find!

House was clean, outside porch was nice, great location. Pool area could’ve used a little clean-up as we couldn’t sit at the table because weeds were really tall, but the pool and hot tub were both really clean and well-kept, so no big deal. Would definitely stay there again!

Summer Vacay

House was very close to the beach. It was nice to have a pool at the house as well as a neighborhood pool that we could use!! The home was pretty clean upon arrival but the floor and bunk beds had sand on them when we got there. It would have been nice to start with sand free bedding! Also there were large bags of dirty bedding from the previous guests that were left right outside the door all week. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to other people!

Walk to the beach

Beautiful home steps from the beach, access was much closer than I thought which was amazing! The only negative I have to say is the mattress on the second floor was absolutely horrible but we dealt with it. Quiet neighborhood, different locations to relax around the home. Maybe baby proofing the cupboards would be nice for people with small kids but overall wonderful experience. I would absolutely rent this house again.

Inside was great, outside needs some work

We felt lucky to have found this house on short notice for a 3-night stay. The inside of the house was very cute and clean, and there was plenty of seating for our group. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. When we got to the house at the correct time our code did not work and we had to call the rental company. They responded quickly and we were in the house in less than 5 min, which was great. There were a couple of very minor things inside the house that needed repair - including the shower knob in the downstairs en suite and curtains in the same room. But otherwise the inside of the house was great and we were very happy with it. We also loved how close we were to the beach access! Families would be happy to find a high chair. The outside of the house needed work. The pool and the hot tub were clean and in working order. But the gates on the 2nd and 3rd levels of the deck were not working properly, and there were loose boards on the stairs to the back decks. The decks had not been cleaned and there was a dirty diaper left on the 2nd floor deck. The pool area was overgrown with weeds and the pool furniture was trashed. We didn’t find that area useable. Overall we were happy with our stay. I would just recommend that they clean up the pool deck area and replace that furniture, and clean the back decks between guests. Blackout curtains in the downstairs queen and king rooms would also be helpful. Otherwise you’re woken by the sun at 6 am.

Better than we imagined

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The property was beautiful! The pictures didn't fully do it justice. My kids loved the bunk beds. Every kitchen item that we needed for cooking was available. The place was beautifully decorated. The neighborhood was safe. The property was just a few feet from the beach. You can see the ocean from the back of the house. The pool was maintained regularly. We definitely plan to come back and stay at this house.

I am reluctant to leave this review because I don’t want anyone else to book it and limit my chances to stay here again. I LOVE THIS HOUSE! It’s gorgeous. The location and neighborhood are fantastic. We had such a wonderful time and can’t wait to get back to this house again.

Perfect house

This house met all of our needs ! The location is fantastic, the house is quite nice, and having a hot tub and small plunge pool were incredibly nice features. I would say the only detractor was that the cleanliness of the master bathroom showers could have been better. Still, we plan to come back to this house next summer as well!
