Ligger på en rolig blindvei i seksjon D av Ocean Sands og bare 240 meter til de avslappende strendene Corolla har å tilby! Du har tilgang til fellesskaps tennis sammen med Currituck Club Public Golf Course (tee-tider bør gjøres to uker i forveien).
WINDRIFT er praktisk til shopping, restauranter og lokale attraksjoner, men likevel borte fra folkemengdene. Tilbring kvelden med å telle stjerner og ta havbrisen mens du slapper av i den verandaen.

Perfect OBX getaway

This was our second time staying at Windrift and it was lovely as usual. I have nothing else to ask for in a vacation home in Corolla. The home was perfectly cleaned upon arrival and the house is equipped with all the necessary kitchen needs. The major draw for us is the location. The beach is just a two minute walk away and the Harris Teeter is within walking distance. The washing machine broke during our visit and management was quick to address and resolve. Thank you again and we will be back next year!

Quality Property

Just ok

Location was the best thing about the house. Ants, dirty, odd sandal under dresser, used dryer sheets under bed, dust everywhere. Bathroom sinks had hair from a men's razor in both full bathrooms.

This house was everything we wanted and expected

The location of this vacation home is perfect- just a quick walk to the beach. The house was clean, the kitchen is fully stocked and the beds were comfortable. The laundry doors were frustrating to open and close but that was the only thing to complain about. We felt pretty awful that the sink cracked when weight was put on it so that was an unfortunate incident. Carolina Shores was friendly and a pleasure to deal with.

Clean, comfortable, beachy

This has all the basics needed for a perfect beach get-away. This house was brightly lit, well arranged, with a comfortable deck and screen porch. The furniture in the main living area was clean and appeared to be tailored for the beach. The beds were some of the most comfortable we have ever stayed in in any rental house. It appears there were some recent upgrades to the floors and the kitchen. The house is an easy walk to a beach of the lifeguard. We loved that we could park our open top Jeep under the house in case it rained so that we could keep it all set up for 4x4 beach.

Met our needs but didn't surpass them

This property met our needs but didn't surpass them. The location to the beach is great (the access path is right across the street) and it's nice that the bedrooms were separate from the living space and kitchen. But there were no bicycles like the listing mentions and the provided beach chairs were super crappy and non-usable. We brought our own linens which worked out well since I heard of bad quality sheets and towels being provided for our neighbors. Bathrooms are outdated and the deck needs some new paint and furniture, but everything worked well enough for us to have a relaxing and enjoyable time. We enjoyed our stay and we would consider coming back to this location again.

A nice relaxing vacation!

The property was as advertised, located in a nice Corolla neighborhood, with a clean beach that wasn't too busy. We had a great time relaxing for a week in the Outer Banks!

A peaceful vacation

We had a perfect week! When we arrived the rental was clean and cozy. Loved the beach decorations. The house needs a few updates but it didn’t take away from the property at all. The short walk to the beach really made it a perfect spot for us. We enjoyed beautiful views and amazing sunsets. A few things to consider, the check in time is very late, it should be moved to 2:00 instead of 4:00, it seems as though you lose an entire day. The other suggestion is for the key to work for the first door to avoid having to climb two sets of stairs to open the door to the house. We would recommend this beautiful home to a family who is looking for a peaceful quiet beach and cozy home. We didn’t want to leave❤️

Dated, but clean and close to the beach

Good communication with Carolina Shores up until the actual day of check-in. We arrived well before closing, had called in advance, but upon arrival, the office was closed. Keys were in drop box, but we had a couple of questions. House itself was clean and the location wa great. The furniture is dated, as was the decor and bathrooms. The kitchen appeared to be updated. The rest was like entering a time capsure from the mid-1990's. There was no working TV, the wifi was spotty but worked most of the time. Overall, a no frills, but so close to the beach house.

Family Vacation

We really enjoyed this property, a few things needed some upgrades but nothing that interfered with having an enjoyable vacation and we would stay here again!!

Disappointed

The property is in pretty poor condition. The kitchen is basic and it looks like it was updated recently. However the bathrooms need updating bad. Bathtubs are stained from age and linoleum floors look old. One of the toilets was leaking and we had to call the maintenance to fix it. It worked fine for a week and then started to leak again on the last day. The living room furniture is very old and has stains all over cushions and handles. The property management service is terrible. Upon arrival we found pee in one of the toilets, the toilet was not cleaned. Toilet in the other bathroom had stains too , looked like somebody sprayed it and never wiped. Bedroom furniture was very dusty, mirrors had fingerprints. AC grill needed good cleaning. We called the property management asking for a cleaning crew, but nobody showed up that day. I had to clean the bathrooms and dust everything myself. The cleaning lady came over next day- too late, we had to move in and use the amenities. We also could not find an iron - I called and asked for a replacement. The lady on the other line told me to go online and check the property listing to see if the property has it. I asked to do it herself. Why should I use my precious vacation time researching the property amenities? She said she will check and call me back. She never did. We finally found the iron hidden behind ice trays in the cabinet above the microwave. Frustrating! The downstairs storage room had a terrible odor and a burned light bulb. We would cover our nose when we get there to pull our beach staff. Well, my husband got frustrated, found a bulb and changed it. And guess what - there was a dead rat in the corner! It was a cherry on top. Never again.

Great house and location in Corolla, Outer Banks

This was a great beach house in Corolla for my family of husband, two 20-something kids and 88 year old mother. This was our first time in the Outer Banks and we loved the area. The cleaners were not as thorough as they should have been, my daughter found underwear and socks behind her door and there were tampon wrappers on the floor in my mother's room. The property manager suggested the cleaners were spending more time sanitizing than actual cleaning. Otherwise than that small blip, everything in the house was great. Excellent remodeled kitchen with everything you could use on your vacation. Good bedrooms and bathrooms too (except no comforters on any of the beds). Great view (a little distant, but still) of the ocean. The wooden Adirondack chairs were very rough though and snagged every one of our brand new Land's End beach towels, I have major runs in every towel!! And because the chairs are so low, you can't see the ocean once you sit down. The living room was well equipped with nice TV, DVD and great selection of movies which was helpful since it rained hard for 3 days while we were there. Rain didn't bother us, we had plenty of books, board games and time well spent together. There are fun things to do in the area, we went to the Jockey's Ridge State Park to see the giant sand dunes and the Wright Brother's Memorial Park. Also saw the wild horses! Harris Teeter grocery store is very close and has a terrific selection. Only downside to the Outer Banks is the one road in and out and that makes for a long wait coming and going on Saturday, the most common check in day. There is a longer walk to the beach we are used to from beaches in South Carolina but that's because the dunes are so much wider and longer to cross over. We very much enjoyed our vacation in this house and we would come back to this house!!

Fantastic property and location for a family of 6.

We really enjoyed staying at Windrift. Our kids are fairly picky and they were very pleased. Everything was extremely clean; the kitchen was very well-equipped; the proximity to the beach was great; and the location was perfect - out of the fray, but close enough to everything.

Pleasantly surprised

Despite the age of the home, the house was in good condition and very clean. Our biggest concern is cleanliness and it met our expectations! The grill was old and once we reported the condition, Carolina shores replaced it with a new one. The carpets need replaced and bathrooms need updated. The support structure is old, so whenever anyone walks the steps, you can feel the house move. I can’t imagine what it feels like when there’s a storm. Luckily, we didn't experience that! Otherwise, proximity to the beach was great with just a short walk to the ocean. Location was perfect to everything. We would definitely stay here again!
